I never said I can't do a tip by hand....so read again....but why would I when I have a cue repair lathe and actually care enough to properly service my cues and the cues of others on a daily basis??? ...And as for your amazing micrometer...it does not measure runout...you would need a dial...

Anyone who is doing tips without a lathe should stop if you actually care about your cue.....I can guarantee they are not perfectly round no matter how good you think you are

If you have the means to have it done and really want it....go for it...it's your cue Just make sure it would be Pete doing the work....don't know what all these guys are telling you to leave it....you would definitely be increasing the value of the cue and making it more appealing to...

Agreed...the model 20 was a far more complicated build. I don't see the original retail on this cue being anywhere near 1600$ or even half that. Without documentation that is inflated hearsay.....like the 150lb striped bass I caught
