Elkmaster Milk dud tips, real or just hype???

All tips hold chalk, certainly if you chalk them enough like every shot or two or three. The Taoms go on like paint. I love the single layered tips. Elkmaster, Triangle. Certainly don't have time worry about separating a layer with a solid tip while shaping it. Love the sound of a harder tip...

Are we all playing with the same leather (layered / solid) tip after 4-6 months?

Funny but my foray into cf was an 11.8 revo. As narrow as it was it felt like a broomstick. Taper thickened up very quickly. I play with a 12.25 with a very long taper. Hard pressed Triangle tips. Like a hard hit.

Are we all playing with the same leather (layered / solid) tip after 4-6 months?

Agreed. Tried a cf shaft. Didnt work for me. I like a wood shaft apparently. It's all about the taper on a shaft for me, what makes me feel comfortable. Currently having a cue built and it will come with a kielwood shaft. I gave the maker one of my shafts to duplicate the thickness and taper of...

Are we all playing with the same leather (layered / solid) tip after 4-6 months?

Sounds like you are trying to improve your game. Sort of think it's about what you feel comfortable with.

Are we all playing with the same leather (layered / solid) tip after 4-6 months?

Great experience. I think almost everyone that plays layered tips has had problems with layers while shaping. Not good when it happens before a match. Solid tips never separate when shaping. There must be a thousand layered tips out there to choose from and they are expensive especially...

Elkmaster Milk dud tips, real or just hype???

I play hard pressed Triangles. A milk dud from pooldawg8 that was gifted to me by another member. The milk duds play quite similar to hard pressed Triangles.

How Do You Get Out Here?

Exactly. Take what the table gives you. It's not that difficult a cut shot.

How Do You Get Out Here?

Your second choice is my choice. Just make the 8 or you have nothing. Take what the table gives you. If you can't thin the 9 in (and its not that thin) then you probably talked yourself out of the shot. Sometimes we try to get too cute, exact.

Love the hit of a Joss. Chalked, unchalked, doesn't matter. It's a cue stick. Warranty on a cue stick? WGAF?

Thank you. I like what I call elegant simplicity. Finalized a cue with Steve Janes at Joss about an hour ago. I like what Steve calls pointy points. Sort of a Bushka tribute box cue using fall colors, red, orange, tans as inlays with cut diamonds and dots in the boxes. Using abalone for the...

I'm a big fan of joss. As I have said, I own one Joss custom made by Dan. He was one month late on his original time frame estimate. I'm having one built by Steve currently. I do expect his time frame to be close to what he tells me.

First off, Stephen is the company. It was a family business comprised of Dan, his wife, and his son. Stephen, his son is doing everything right now. Cancel everything. Sounds like you have a severe case of instan gratification.
