    Earl Top Shots Compilation

Pretty good compilation of Earl the Pearl. Check out the impossible cut (12:40), jacked up in the jaws draw (17:20) and behind the back wing shot (!) (12:00). https://youtu.be/ecI2mlTnnVw

    Who's in Tampa?

If you're going to rooms, you'll need a mask to play. Most are still open through this second wave shutdown thing. Alcohol sales are limited in places. A few have gone non-smoking, i.e. Stroker's, Capone's and Corner Pocket in Pinellas. I normally play at Crooked Cue. EDIT: I read you're...

How long has the idea of a Carbon Fiber shaft been around?

I was thinking this too. His previous name is no longer listed as a member. Still wondering if that jaime_lion is him too. Seems it could be his saltier alter ego.

Accu-Stats YouTube Livestream - Treasure Tuesdays

Thanks...looking forward to watching these...Rempe-Immonen is a classic veteran vs. young gun matchup. Not many balls were missed in that one.

    USPS delays

That's gotta feel good. What was the ship date?

    USPS delays

I think this was covered previously. USPS is very slow in shipping now, so just a word of caution for anybody shipping valuable cues in the summer. My order was shipped from Mezz US on June 17 and it's still "moving to the next facility" or something. Temperature will hit 97 on the FL Gulf...

waited 2.5 months for a pool hall near me to open up

I am near Tampa and have been wanting to check out Diamond. It's disappointing they've gone back to smoking but I can't fault their decision. A few rooms up here have gone to non smoking when reopening after the shutdown. We'll see if their business holds up.

    Uncrowned Champion

I'll admit I don't know much about the guy, but have been surprised how professionally he could commentate on one hand, and then hear the stories from the DCC as posted in this thread, in addition to some of the excerpts from the Playing Off the Rail book.

    Predictions, Pool Halls VS Bars

I have several rooms within a half hour of me. If they all were to close, I would probably support bars, but not as much as I did the pool halls, simply to play. Bar tables don't interest me like 9 footers and the bar environment is not my taste for playing the game seriously. It's a scary...

As more bashing against deanoc continues...we now sympathize for him

I recall at least one sale where he quoted an extra $100 to $200 on a $1k+ cue for pictures. It was ludicrous.

As more bashing against deanoc continues...we now sympathize for him

I'm not too sad to see Dean go. His sales tactics were always a little hokey but didn't bother me until he tried charging extra for pictures. That kinda ticked me off and I started ignoring him more.

    Cue versus Butt?

I think we are looking at this from different perspectives. My view was to offer an opinion as to how the butt affects the feel of the cue. I agree with the general science behind your position. I am not certain how the OP is viewing this. As a cue collector, my default thought is normally...
