    Early Stage AI pool commentator

I do not desire to hear an AI commentator in sports. If they ever replace English soccer commentators with AI, I'll just pack it in.

    Rick Howard Sneaky Pete

True sneaky from Rick Howard. Bocote and maple with the big pin and full shaft. I’ve had the cue since 2012 and guessing it’s around 15-20 years old. No logo, has ‘RH’ initials on the joint face. The joint diameter is identical to my other Howard so confident it’s one of his cues. Note...

    Verl Horn

I have a sneaky of Jimmy Ingram's with one shaft, if that is of interest to you.

Show me your dark rosewood cues, especially if they have some Amboyna and a leather wrap.

Beautiful wood, in my experience probably best used for points and inlays, unless coring it. Have hit an amboyna forearm cue and it's soft; definitely a noticeable change in resonance when tapping on the wood compared to a harder wood.

    Channeling Buddy Hall

I channeled myself last night in a league match and it sure wasn't pretty. Overriding your spiritual guidance to channel some of Cecil. I might even lumber around the table like him too.

New Barnhart Radial 29-1/2" Maple and Roasted Maple Shafts /Joint Protector--CONUSA Only.

Good review you provided. Would you consider it a longer taper? In my opinion, his maple shafts have a short/very stiff taper.

US Open (9 ball) 2024, August 19-24, Atlantic City

Thanks all for the coverage. Maybe we'll see more players sign up for races to 120 the week before a major when they see who the finalists are.

What is in your bag currently AZB version?

I switched back to a smaller case and like it. You know you've hit middle age when you grunt when grabbing a heavy case out of the backseat. 2x3 JB Rugged -Playing cue with 2 shafts -Break cue -various tips tools and a couple coins and spare cue ball -also a towel, cue cloth and 2 lightweight...

Different light style I saw in Greece

But the place looks worthless without a Greek kitchen serving up some food. Sweet room!

    Orner Billiards Indianapolis

My parents bought a table from them in 2012 and it came with Players house cues and they are really good quality. Good wood selection and construction. They play well and will make good sneakies when retired.

    Cheap Cue Recommendations

I am considering that option too and waiting to hear what the budget is. They play well and should be more durable than two piece cues.

    Cheap Cue Recommendations

I was guessing these were in the $40 to $50 per cue range. The Aska cues we had were pretty good, they stayed straight and hit ok. I could play with one without too much adjusting.

    Cheap Cue Recommendations

Thank you for the input all around. The now broken cues actually played decently, they lasted several years and stayed straight enough for me to play with. The cues being damaged is likely the case of a few bad characters (likely non-residents), with most people taking decent care of the...

    Cheap Cue Recommendations

My building has a table and the cues have gradually become broken. They were Aska brand, decent Asian-made two piece cues. Shafts have been snapped off at the joint by some clumsy players or drunks. I'd like to get some new ones so residents can play. Any recommendations in the under $50 per...

Anyone still use a SS joint?

I've gone back and forth over the years but have been using non SS for some time now. Prefer the balance of non SS cues. Best SS hitter now is my Scruggs, but still like a few flat facers more than it.
