You’ll have a similar reflection on the balls with or without diffusers/louvers. That’s totally normal.

I want medium-low deflection in a break shaft, around 13” pivot point ideally to match my breaking bridge length and auto-correct for unintentional off-center strikes. Hard or maybe impossible to get deflection that low with a solid and stiff 13mm shaft.

You’d be correct if you were using too long of a bridge for your shaft’s PP - that would be undercorrecting for deflection. But the shot I’m talking about, where your bridge is too short for a low or ultra-low deflection shaft and you use BHE, is overcorrecting for deflection. So for example...
