    Predator BK2

Just purchased a Predator BK2 on my lunch break. I broke 20 or so racks with it, and here are my initial impressions: -The BK2 hits HARD. I'm used to breaking with house cues, and hearing a loud thud when breaking. The BK2 sounds like two balls colliding when it contacts the cue ball...

    Which is Better ??????

I'm likely purchasing a BK2 tomorrow. Never shot with and Xbreaker before, though. However, I'll try to give some constructive comments on the BK2 if nobody has responded by then. -Matt

    masse cuemakers...

A masse cue is 44 inches long, 24-26oz, and has a different taper than a normal cue. The tip is much larger, and there's a stainless steel rod inserted into the butt of the cue to add the extra weight. -Matt

    masse cuemakers...

Wow. That's funny. You manage to use an excessive amount of commas, and contribute absolutely nothing to a thread that probably never interested you in the first place. Yow's trickshot abilities aren't really something that you can argue with. I trust he'll have little or no difficulty finding...

    Cue Update

Mmhmmm. If you're going to set it in any kind of setting beneath the lacquer of the cue, I would strongly recommend against the following metals: 1) White Gold -- will more than likely turn yellow with time, albeit slowly. This happens to -all- white gold, no matter really what anyone tells...

    Shaft Woods

Why is it that maple is almost -always- used as a shaft wood? I know snooker players used to insist on ash shafts... but, is there a specific reason that maple is considered to be the best wood to create shafts from, or is it just something we've inherited and sort of accept on faith now...

    Cue Update

I could do it, we have an engraving machine, and we also have a hand engraver on site. It costs a little more to have them engrave on curved surfaces, but I'll check today if they have a nice calligraphy font for curved surfaces. Depending on how many letters, it probably wouldn't be over...

    Cue Update

Good point, Tbeaux. In fact, also remember, if you're going to lacquer over the stones, that they'll more than likely appear slightly to moderately more dull than they did prior to being lacquered over. -Matt

    Cue Update

For gemstone colors, check out: http://www.gemstone.org/image_library_frameset.html Specifically: sapphire, tourmaline, topaz, even fluorite... although it's hardness would be an issue, and there's no pictures of the pink variety. Your best bet is probably pink cubic zirconia, since it's...
