    Runde cue

My old Gus cue has a bit of light under the joint when I roll it , but I have to roll it just right for it too show up. It's not quiet the size of a playing card but it's there. I can still run 100 balls with it when I'm feeling well and will be 70 next month. Just pointing out that there are...

    Runde cue

Ughh --Bob said he will make you a new shaft? Well if it were me I would be jumping for the chance to have that new shaft and also keep the original shaft . What's the down side here? Just don't understand where this is hurting the originality of the cue , as long as you have the shaft that...

    Simonis 860HR Shortage?

Last year I had the 860hr installed on my Centennial. They stated that it's faster, which I think that it is, but that doesn't mean that one can draw the cue ball easier. There is more nylon blended into the cloth and drawing the cue ball long distances just isn't what regular 860 will allow...

Interview With Road Agent, Bobby Hunt - Part 3 Added

Earl and I were talking about this , bout 20 years ago , he mentioned when he slipped into the room in Charlotte to play Denney , it cost them about 40 grand and he left safely.

willard tool and kamui clear tips.

I have used the Willard trimmer , ever since it came out. I use it on all my tips to just get the tips close as possible to the ferrule and then use a jewelers file to finish up. Yep it takes time but with layered tips I try not to cut through them with a knife . Thought doing that would damage...

Interview With Road Agent, Bobby Hunt - Part 3 Added

Probably should have sugar coated it a bit about the bum biz, but that was the way Eddie put it to me. Too add , the discipline that I put towards my game at a young age, carried over to my discipline towards my business carrier . Lots of things could be learned from the road, not just about...

Interview With Road Agent, Bobby Hunt - Part 3 Added

Yep , I agree with you, if it was planned it was a shit move. What I didn't post before was, the owner of the room was a major bookie there in Charlotte NC. He was also the backer of Denney and was backing Denney that day. Did he plan it when Billy was handing Denney a major loss ? I'm not...

Interview With Road Agent, Bobby Hunt - Part 3 Added

One of the best things I learned or was warned of by Eddie, probably saved my Life. Back when Eddie looked over at me while traveling and told me, You are beating everyone you play , except Billy. You play him all day long and there might be as few as 10 games diff between you. Your stringing...

    Three point break rule.................

When the old 9 ball tourn's were 2 shot foul and then switched to 1 shot, some say it was because of TV showing the games. I always heard it was too reel in Luther Lassiter because no one could beat him at it. Would be interesting to hear what game rules were used when Keith Thompson won the...

    Taom Chalk

When starting this thread, I had used Masters Chalk for over 50 years playing this sport. I had used other chalks from time to time, but only because it was what was available to me at the time, such as being in a room where there wasn't Masters being available. Masters was and might still be...

    Taom Chalk

When using the Masters chalk my wife would ask about the blue dust that was settling around the room. It was on our white blinds and everywhere You would especially find it in places not cleaned regularly. When brushing down my table , there would be a cloud of blue smoke coming off the table...

What is the Best Cue Ball? We have the Red Measles, but let's hear your opinions.

Last year I purchased a new Blue circle cue ball for my centennial set (same as what came with it. I then about 2 weeks later bought the Black circle Tournament Aramith cue ball. Both balls play the same and both are made by Aramith, the difference I noticed was how much cleaner the Black...

    Push Out

Playing push out during the 70's we played any two fouls resulted in ball in hand. Meaning I push out and my opponent gives the shot back to me or he decides to make a try at the shot, the first push is 1 foul and then on the next shot any foul by a player gives the ball in hand to his...

Best Solutions for Removing Grease Stains Off Of Simonis 860HR Cloth?

After checking back in my memories and thought processes , (LOL) and looking into what Rexus31 stated about the Brake Kleen Green Can product, here's what I remember. Non Chlorinated cleaner is the only thing I would advise. The green can is their (Brake Kleen) Non Chlorinated product. With the...

Best Solutions for Removing Grease Stains Off Of Simonis 860HR Cloth?

Never tried the chlorinated cleaner before, but after thinking about it, probably okay to use. I like the idea of using it with the microfiber towel as an applicator instead of spraying it directly on to the cloth as well. Again , would use only after trying on an old piece of cloth.

Best Solutions for Removing Grease Stains Off Of Simonis 860HR Cloth?

I don't know how this would work on Simonis , but you might try it on an old scrap first. My Dad owned a dry cleaning biz when I was growing up. Remember I had gotten a small amount of grease on my dress khaki's before going some place. He stopped by an auto parts store and bought a can of un-...
