I'm amazed how well these guys are doing by not stepping all over one another. They have such good chemistry from years of working together.
But, I do agree with you that three's a crowd!
Call them up, talk to trevor, he may not be able to knock the price down (he would be undercutting his dealers, if so) but he may be able to add something to it for you. Their good people to work with.
The Formats are the Problem
A race to 11 for me is a long race, but for these guys, especially the gambler's its difficult to turn it on quickly when they are used to playing long sets back to back or a multi-day race to 100. Playing and traveling is tolling on everyone, but these top pro's...
I ran across someone in the poolroom trying to sell a cue. Sorry but I don't have any pics. The guy was old and sounded kinda crazy, so I only looked at it shortly and went about my business. But, now I wondering.
It looks like an old house cue. It has Old English type on the name...Yeu Ben...
What about Johnny?
I think that Mika wins this more often than not, if racing to 100. If race to 1,000, I don't think Mike Sigel has a chance. However, the closer race would be with Johnny Archer...that guy is playing some awesome straight pool.
Boy, the Western Europeans really do take everything personally. I just heard one of the commentators (an englishman it sounds like-I wasn't at the computer when the match started) state that Mike S was not wearing a vest in the stands and it was mandatory. So he said that he thought Mike must...
Check out this from McD's website. Maybe I'm misinterpreting this but...

Recon ebony and ivory - 08-09-2010, 07:58 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was interested in one of the 2010 COTY cues. After reading the cue descriptions, and seeing these terms used, I emailed McDermott for an explanation of recon ebony...
I have always noticed that McDermott notes recon ebony and recon ivory on many of their cues. Is this short for reconditioned? Is it a name for a synthetic material? They've used this "recon" term for a long time and it seems like a way of identifying cheaper materials while still using the...
type in www.google.it into your address bar. This is the google search engine in Italy. You will find many links to Biliardi Rutigliani, it appears to be a company like brunswick. Italy's ebay has their tables for 5K Euro's. Of course, most of the sites are in Italian, so you need a...
A more telling graph would be to see the correlation between age of learning advanced shots and skill level. I have only heard of one great pro that learned the game over 20 yrs old that ever made it to the top. And I think that was pre-1950s, although I forgot his name. Seems like he picked...
Wow, I just finished the first page...and i've been bored all week and wondered how the arguing in the cue equipment section stopped so abruptly! I see it's moved over to the questions section!
:joyful:
I've been watching this match and mike is hitting them really well. But, i would also say that this guy he's playing may be a good player but at the moment he couldn't get out of a wet paper bag. Maybe the pressure of the camera's.
A friend of mine used to refer to Gandy's as an "in-rail" table and GC's as "out-rail" tables. He said to aim for the for the long rail just before the corner pocket when cutting the ball down the down the long rail (on the Gandy's). And with the GC's, cut the ball more toward the short rail...
