    Choosing a cuebuilding lathe.

Ok. Here's a question that I've had concerning these arguments that continue. You can have someone building equipment and selling it. And you can have another assembling equipment (and adapting it for your customer's specific needs) and selling it. If you design it and build it from the...

    Choosing a cuebuilding lathe.

I the opposite lately. Because I find it humorous, how sensitive some people are about the products they produce or use. It's funny how they bash everyone's stuff and make you think their's is touched by god! You can tell, there's been no competition for quite a while. And six month's ago...

    Best Inexpensive Sneaky Pete Cue

I have a player and it too whippy for my taste. but after i blued the shaft, in a bar playing on coin-ops, its clandestine purpose fits well. i also don't care if i leave it in the car overnight. of course, as anything, you get what you pay for...and with any cue under 100, your going to...

    Butt diameter on hit?

How does the butt diameter effect the hit on a cue? I have a McDermott (1994 model, i think). It looks like one of their old McD tournament's winner cues. It has a wider diameter than most cues (not as wide as a bar cue though) and I keep going back to this cue after I've tried others. Also...

    What Are "Practice" Strokes For?

This is a good point and reminds me of alot new players that make a basic mistake of lining up on the ball after getting down on the table. First they start close to the cue ball and move backward to set up their stance. It is much more accurate to stand a couple feet back and approach the...

    What Are "Practice" Strokes For?

This is an interesting thread! Here is how I approach (or address) my shot. As compare to you... 1- when i 1st begin, i pay attn to grip, stroke etc. basics. then i let it go to focus on the table and my shooting (i also start off slow)...i aim by standing behind the whitey looking where my...

    What Are "Practice" Strokes For?

As I've gotten older, this has become more my focus than anything. And it has paid dividends. On a side note, I see many pros that will cue the ball extremely low, I believe they are focusing exactly their cue tip placement. This way they see the entire ball. For me, I have to place the cue...

    Most Powerful 9BALL Break

I'm hesitant because this kid is so young. But, Wu Chia-Ching as powerful a 9-ball break as any I've seen----But, his ability to park the whitey so quick is just amazing. So, I have to go with Wu.

    felt cleanning question

First, I use a low powered hand vac (no brushes and not too much power-it will stretch the cloth). Then, damp cloth (not wet cloth), as mentioned above. Thirdly, brush the cloth. Do it every week and your cloth will last much longer!

    Appleton v Reyes

I like DAZ break for 10 ball. But, playing in Manila...In UK, just like US, I see no way to prepare for gambling in the same conditions. Just gambling in another country is difficult enough. Everything from hotels, food, transportation, climate...even the McDonalds is far different in each...

    New equipment

All equal. Sure quality is important but if you haven't bought something before, you don't know what you're getting exactly. So if the seller is putting down his/her competitor, if fell they are probably hiding something. so i don't trust them. Price is important to an extent, depends on you...

New Mid Size Large Bore Headstock

Thanks for the quote but you missed must not have read it. I never challenged your knowledge and skill. But your poor public relations attitude was highlighted. The point being that your bashing your competitors. If you're product is so superior let that be your calling card. Every salesman...

New Mid Size Large Bore Headstock

Buster Time! Lee, I know you only by your posts on here. And I've only had favorable opinions of you until now. You have taken a lash from many of Chris' fans, sometimes unjustly. however, now you have stepped into the same footsteps...you could just have easily bumped your's and Chris'...

What do you do with old pool balls ?

Best that i've seen is someone putting them on a lathe and turning the down to make joint protectors. after turning down, cut in half and two insert pins. walla--two joint protectors with the number on top. easy to distinguish sticks and shafts and a novel idea.
