I stumbled across a cue, the only mark was "$" on a hoppe ring. Can anyone tell me about this cue, who made it, how many were made, etc.?

I've had one for a few months now with the cf ferrule and triangle tip. The shaft has a straight taper instead of a pro taper, so it is more "stiff" than my other cues, but has an extremely soft hit, and the workmanship on mine is beautiful.
