    AZ Virus again?

I got a virus warning yesterday morning and I also got the same virus warning this morning when I opened the home page. I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't have security protection. What kind of sick mind does things like that?

    Table Id Help?

I like the looks of the second table. Could be a Brunswick Anniversary knock-off. I'd check it out or maybe get a qualified table technician to check it out for you. Who knows, you might be able to negotiate the price down to $300. Good luck and Happy Hunting in your quest for a good table.

    Best tip?

He's right. This has been discussed many times and the hit and feel of a cue with different tips is very subjective. For me, I use a McDermott I-3 (11.75mm tip diameter) on a Schon CX-06, a Moori Soft is excellent. I've tried quite a few others, including Kamui, and I feel I play best with a...

Looking for valley rails and backings

Ridgeback Rails makes one of the best rails for bar boxes. They are very reasonable in price too. Do a google for their website. Good luck with your table.

    Cue Cleaning tips and Products.

To keep your shaft looking new, if it's new and clean, give it a couple of coats of Butcher's Bowling Alley Wax. Then, after each playing session, just wipe it down with a dry piece of Magic Eraser. Give it a coat of wax about every two months - Butcher's is a cleaning wax. That should do it...

    1st Video of myself

Some nice shooting. Cut on the 3 ball was very well done. Noticed that you dropped your shoulder when shooting the 5 ball. You may want to slow down and think what position play on some shots.

It's "normally" better to cut than bank

Very well stated. I'm a cutter too. But don't forget that position play sometimes may enter into the equation.

    13mm or smaller?

I play with a McDermott I-3 shaft on my Schon CX-06. To me, it's a perfect combination of balance and feel. The I-3 has a Moori Soft tip with a 11.75mm diameter. The small tip gives me a sense of geometric precision where I hit the cue ball. Try a smaller tip diameter - you may like it...

    Brash Americans

You're right Pangit. I would have asked you to play whichever game you play in that particular bar. But I like 8-ball. It's a tough game with a lot of decisions to make. One pocket is not my game but that too, is very strategic (which I like) - but slow. In 10 ball, it's simple - get...

    WTB OB classic or I-1

I think, if you're going to be using it as your playing cue, you might prefer the McDermott I-2. The I-1 is built more for power to be used on a break cue. I play with the I-3 (on my Schon CX-06) because I prefer the European taper and the 11.75mm tip diameter. I've played with an I-2 for...

    Videos for sale

Seems to me that if the original cost to Homer was a little less than $100, then $60 shipped was a fair price. About $10 for PayPal & Shipping would net Homer $50, which was about 1/2 of the price he paid for the videos - about right for a used item in my opinion. But on the other hand, Homer...

Changing Diamond Pro pockets from black to brown

I have seen this problem reported several times in different threads. What is Diamond doing about it? It seems to me that they should be replacing the pockets for free on any table that has ball marking problems since it's related to the dye that's being used in the leather pocket. Am I being...

BLUDWORTH vs DIAMOND vs BALLSTAR BALL CLEANERS

I built a ball cleaner and used it for about 6 months. Then I was lucky enough to find a used Ball Star on Craigslist in LA at a super price. I took it apart and cleaned it until it looked like new. That thing does a fantastic job of cleaning. It rotates in one direction for 1 minute and...
