So, most of this information was already mentioned in a previous thread in the main section, however i feel so strongly about my feelings in this cue and the new tip that is now on it, i did not want this getting lost to the wayside. if you care to see the previous thread, here is the link

so... I had Rick Phillipi put on a new emarald last night and after 2 or so hours on the table when i got home last night... I LOVE the emerald!!!! I honestly belive i found my new tip of choice. Holds chalk great, effortless spin, and the feel is incredible! I have tried many tips in the past and will give you a quick run down of my thoughts on a simple 1-10 scale: LePro 5.5, triangle 6, french triumph 6.5, tiger M 6.5, tiger everest 7, kamuii SS black 6.5, tiger sniper 8, moori M 8... And the emerald, solid 9!!!

So, it appears that my reservations in trying another emerald were obviously unjust. I LOVE IT!!! So thank you to everyone who encouraged i give it another shot, much thanks to Rick, and to Mr. Baxter:
Jim,
HOLY CRAP... putting the new tip on this thing... I AM IN LOVE!!! I have to say, this is without a doubt the most gratifying cue i have ever played with, let alone owned!!! I have had some moderately expensive cues in my past, and have played with some VERY high dollar cues, and this one takes the cake, HANDS DOWN!
I am more than happy and wish that everyone could find the joy in a cue that you have provided me with. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Glad you found that "magic" butt, shaft, tip combination that's just perfect for your style. Good luck to you and thank you for serving your country.

Thanks Pete,
And I think you hit the nail on the head... because it FELT magical, never been so excited to play by myself LOL. I played 3 races to 7 against the ghost last night, and had it not been for my wife complaining about me not being in bed, i likely would have been down there all night! it was amazing!

It's always great to see someone have one of those epiphanies whether it is with equipment or technique. Keep us apprised of your experience with the Emerald tip.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.
