    Dale Perry cues

I have a Dale Perry cue that I purchased on E-Bay about 5 years ago. I fitted it with a used McDermott I-3 LD shaft. It feels great. The balance is just right and sometimes I feel I can't miss a shot. I believe I paid around $115. Workmanship appears good if you overlook the slightly...

    60" Amboyna and Maple Burl

Jim, congratulations on building a thing of beauty. A very wise selection of woods to use. The matching joint protectors puts the icing on the cake.

    12.75mm Vs 11.75mm Tip

I play with a Schon CX-06 and a McDermott I-3 shaft. The I-3 has a 11.75mm Moori Soft tip. When I hit the cue ball it feels that I strike it with geometric precision for maximum cue ball control. Seems easier to apply English and get the desired spin. The slim shaft feels right in my closed...

    Dale Perry Cue Question

I have a Dale Perry I bought about 5 years ago for $120. It's been a trouble free cue and I really like it and think it plays very well. I don't know how the present level cues are built, but I assume they're about the same quality as mine. $300 is way too much to pay. A good buy would be in...

    Riley Snooker table install

Thanks for posting, I thought it was very interesting. A fairly complex assembly. Even the pocket assembly and install appeared complex. Did I miss them using beeswax or Bondo to seal the slate seams? It appears they didn't.

    Moori Medium Equivalent?

I also found that the Wizard tip plays very closely to a Moori medium. Great tip at even a greater price.

    Shaft cleaner

After reading quite a few reviews of Butcher's Bowling Alley wax I finally bought a can. I cleaned a shaft using Magic Eraser and applied two coats of the wax. Played great and held up for quite a while. Excellent product, and as stated, one can will last a lifetime.

    How to pronounce Schön

My German professor (Dr. Tolk) would have pronounced it as shurn. The umlauted letter is spoken as a "ur". Back in the 50's, Chemical Engineering students were advised to take two years of German - I wound upped taking 4 years of it.

    Discontinued Cue Questions

I shoot with a Schon CX-06 which is a discontinued cue. In my opinion it's one of the nicest cues in the CX series so why would Schon decide to discontinue it? Does being discontinued affect the selling price of the cue? Any thoughts on the value of the cue - it's pristine but I did have a...
