Someone needs to call him and tell him the bad news. When it was new he probably paid quite a bit of money for it, pre ebay Dale.

Dale was doing ebay in 2005. My recollection was he started eBay in 2002 or 2003ish.
He's quite the pitchman.
He wants the cash authenticated by his credit union -- I wonder what he would do if a prospective buyer insisted on a cue appraisal?

I played with a number of his cues in the late 90's. Owned a few. They were nice cues. Hard not to be disappointed in the path he chose but it seems from a business standpoint he's doing okay.Dale was doing ebay in 2005. My recollection was he started eBay in 2002 or 2003ish. When he first started his ebay cues were every bit as good as his best work. I bought one in 2004 and it was excellent in every regard (wish I never sold it).
The prices and quality declined over the years from that point. Believe me, if he just started selling $200 cues of crap quality dealers would not have been so pissed as their product would be in a different league. But in the early days he was selling high quality cues for under $800 when dealers were in similars cues for more.
Seller didn't state where he bought the cue from in 2005 but if this cue was purchased on ebay in 2003 or 2004 it could have fecthed 600-800 with a "dealer value" of $2500 for sure.
