    3C for your viewing pleasure

TB certainly changed the 'Style of game' for many players, I've never been a fan of it! Jaspers has been in the Top 4 rankings for many years! I don't think many sponsors would think that format would be 'Profitable'! The GOAT of 'All Around Carom Billiards' is Caudron by far!

A Great friend of US 3C dies today

Dave, 'Mary Kaye' was AVP's prime customer! A lot of pink packaging.

    3C for your viewing pleasure

Both Jaspers and Caudron have 30 years on him! So maybe 'Long' match could go his way!

    3C for your viewing pleasure

You must have missed the 600-point match where Caudron beat Jaspers, 600-500!

    3C for your viewing pleasure

Jaspers is the 'Most Technical' player. Caudron is the 'Most Knowledgeable Natural' player! He took the Mantel from Ceulemans!

Good players who do not look very good, while at the pool table, but still consistently run out.

His 'Short piston' stroke was very effective/accurate! Plus I don't think he used much 'Sidespin', so it appeared he hit shots a little harder than most.

Has anybody ever used a carom cue to play snooker with before?

Since 1987 I've been playing ALL cue games with a 'Carom Cue'.

    Early Adam Cue Question

In the 60's a cue-maker/3C player (Bill Hawkins) from Decatur, IL. He used an Aluminum shaft insert and installed an Aluminum pin in the ferrule! Thet made a terrible sound!

Good players who do not look very good, while at the pool table, but still consistently run out.

Well, I'll assume He evolved the 'Swoop' to be 'Consistent! Many Top 3C players of the early 20th Century had Side-arm strokes. I believe 'Early learning age' is a Big part of it. BTW, Efren had one of the Worst 'Rolling/up & down' strokes I'd seen when he first came around!

Nothing 'wrong' with a 'Side-Arm' stroke as long as it's delivered 'Straight'! From Bud Harris, he told me Professor Perkins taught Cochran. Cochran was instrumental in Jimmy Lee's game and in turn, Lee helped Bud's game.

Artie was the 'Most Winning %' Pool Player I've ever known! I Only saw Him play once where He didn't have a chance to win! At Freddy the Beard's Northshore Billiards Artie played a Hispanic player (Johnny Canelo from TX) 8 Ball on a 9' table. They played for about 6 or 7 hours; Canelo Only...

100% Not true! A little 'Road story'. In the late 60's Artie traveled West, primarily to trap Richie Florence! Mostly along the way He hustled '8 Ball' in the bars, (He wouldn't have to show any speed) when they got to CA a 'Steer Man' from Chi-Town put Artie in the right spots. The guy...

Someone like Aarie! That's anyone that wants to win when they play! Anyone that 'Thinks' they're not going to win when they play is a 'Sucker/Loser or Masochist'!

Eric, whatever Artie showed you, cherish it! Myself and maybe The ghost, Joey Gold, George Michaels and Larry Schwartz are the only ones left that saw Artie play on a regular basis in his prime, (1967-1980)! He played All games very well, including 3C for a Pool player. He didn't care for 9...

Eric, in many ways you couldn't have chosen a better one. Artie's a genius in a few areas, I. Watched him play maybe 200 times, one of his strengths is, He can repeatedly execute controlling the CB in many different ways. I could go on...
