Sad: Univ of Michigan Pool Hall in the Union Will be No More.

Indiana still has a billiard room. I worked there when I was a student 10 years ago and played on the pool team and was part of the pool club on campus. One of my best memories from college is playing in the University of Michigan Team Pool Championship. It was the first time Indiana had...

    Issue With Video

You could also save the whole video to a usb thumb drive and mail it to him. Ypu can buy thumb drives relatively cheaply at Best Buy or other big box retailers.

    The Rack in Detroit

With the Poolhalls You Wish Were Still Around thread on the front page it reminded me of this thread which in my opinion is the best on AZ. The last post was over 1 year ago so I thought it worthy of resurrection. If you have any memeories of The Rack that came flooding back post them here. Or...

Two things I don't understand about snooker

I like the idea of keeping the chalk in your pocket fot all of the stated reasons in this thread, but personally I don't like it getting my pockets dirty or getting my fingers blue when plucking it out of my pocket. I've used various chalk holders before but never found one I liked. Also you...

2018 Matches you would like to see

This thread makes me miss TAR because it was the one place where you might see these matchups. A Shaw vs SVB race to 100 10 ball could be epic. And I would love to see that Bergman vs Morra matchup that someone else mentioned. They have chirpped at each other periodically and I would love to see...

    Most Common Shot In 9/10-Ball

I wasn't able to view the picture earlier, but when I did it was exactly the shot I thought it was. I would agree that particular shot and subtle variations come up very frequently in rotation games. It can be a tough shot especially while grying to move the cue ball in a particular way. One...

Anyone not able to use Tapatalk app

Yeah it's a little frustrating since that was 99% of the way I consumed content here. However I just started used the mobile version of the website. It's not as good, but serviceable until it's accessible on tapatalk for android devices again.

It's early but do you have anything Pool that you're looking forward to in 2018?

I'm looking to playing the game with a renewed energy and passion. Really since late spring 2017 I have been pretty burnt out on pool and I'm not sure why. No desire to play, practice, or watch. Partly I think it was because I started a new hobby and there is so much to learn and buy with it...

    Who's going?

I have been every year for the last 7. I usually go with a group of buddies, and until yesterday no one had organized anything or booked a room. I was still able to get a room at the horseshoe for the 119 rate so it's on again for this year. Can't wait.

Reasons for "poor attendance" by US players in Qatar

Some players may not feel comfortable going to play a tournament in the Middle East, but that's really immaterial because like others have stated it's really about the cost and potential return on investment for the player and sponsors.

    Position Drills VS Just Playing

I'm not sure I can add a lot to this conversation. Most of the salient points have already been made by some of the most knowledgeable members of this forum, but I can add my perspective based on my personal experience. For me drills and repetition are the best way that I learn. When I'm just...

    The AZB New Book List

This is great thread to resurrect. I had completely forgotten about Tor Lowry's PKF book. I've recently been a little burned out on pool and haven't felt like practicing, but maybe that would be something good to get back in the game with practice-wise. On a different note, I always thought...

World Pool Series Grand Final (8Ball) 31 Oct-3Nov

In my opinion there's a lack of outrage because there is little to be outraged about. If you follow the World Pool Series, Unilad Sport, and Unilad on facebook and get notifications when they go live there are literally free streams to watch all day long that you can get right on your phone.

World Pool Series Grand Final (8Ball) 31 Oct-3Nov

Yeah I think you're right. Shane hasn't played in any of them nor have a lot of American players. (Edited to Add): Shane's grandmother also recently passed per his posts on social media so he likely has more important things to attend to this week. I'm just speculating as to why American...

SCHMIDT vs HARRIMAN: 11:00am Today Big Match for America @World 14.1

There has already been noticeable audible banter back and forth regarding the pace of play. A shot clock has been implemented I guess due to a tournament rule regarding the pace of play in accordance with a formula of x number of points in a match by y amount of time. I don't think Danny was...

Oh my god Schmidt v Harriman. That's worth the price of your ppv today right there. (Also not sure the picture of the nuclear explosion does it justice.)
