Bad rolls - what's your definition?

I think bad rolls are real but at the same time a state of mind. Good state of mind they don't seem to mind much; bad state they work against you. What about good rolls? I don't hear much said about good rolls; seems people just stand there stunned and say "I meant to do that". Do good...

    pocket reducers?

There was a previous thread that has a lot to say about them. I know Shawn Putnam posted that he doesn't recommend them but that's one persons opinion. I bought them and rarely use them so I'm not qualified to say. I practiced with them all this week for a tournament that has tight pockets so I...

Breaking and your dominent eye. HUGE!!!

Not trying to start a "post war" so don't misunderstand, but I have to ask so I can learn something. Most or everything (I just read focus on the head ball so I can't say everything) I read or hear about breaking says to look at the cue ball last. I do focus last on the 2nd ball for 8 ball...

    Ripped off by Realkingcobra anyone?

Now that makes sense for a minute there it seemed like it was one of those commercials: "Buy right now and we'll throw in the blond, but wait there's more".

    Billy Incardona

What a compliment! If you mean John Madden is the best commentator the NFL ever had that must make Billy Incardona the best ever for pool. I miss Madden its painful to hear most of the ones on now.

    Ripped off by Realkingcobra anyone?

Now I'm interested. A 9 ft Diamond sells for $2500-3000 (seems debate about the price) I thought even used they were much higher.

    Anybody know Bobby Hernandez?

No drama. I don't know every player in the universe but Ronnie Allen's name certainly sticks out there. Last time I saw him play was mid 90's for all I know he may not play anymore.

What I learned from Donny Mills vs Shane Van Boening

Thanks for the reply. What got me wondering about it is that Oscar Dominguez was asked about a particular shot where the choice was one or two rails (one of those shots you might try to hold but if you fail you have no shot) during commentary at the Hard times tournament. His reply was that...

Agreed settle it on the table rather than who is most popular and may or may not be the best available player.

What I learned from Donny Mills vs Shane Van Boening

Enjoy your articles. Question are you saying never "hold the ball" for position or only on tables with fast cloth? Some 9 footers are so slow you have to "pound it" even on medium angles. I like the "focus factor" I think that's the big thing that separates top players and the rest of us.

    Anybody know Bobby Hernandez?

Thanks for clearing this up about the two Allen's. I thought calling Ronnie Allen (the legend) a shortstop I thought "wow" they must have monster players.

    svB - Mills PPV

Agreed. Sorry you pay for a product (whatever that is) the end result is delivery. People say you should support "this or that" its not a corporation until you are a shareholder or receiving a percentage you don't have a stake. Companies (unless your GM or a bank contributing to campaigns)...

    Responce to Jerry Forsyth Article

"Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity". "Rags to Rifleman" has a good example that the nature necessary to be a successful pool player is the same reason why nothing ever gets going. When one of pools pros goes to prison for drugs...

When did pool become like this?

Good post. My dad said when I was 16 "I could buy you a car, but I paid cash for my first car". He always said things like that almost 20 years later I figured it out.

When did pool become like this?

I would never have guessed being from SD you shot IPSC isn't it great? I was a good B sometimes low A and I took lessons from Sabrina Anderson (I think it's Peterson now). Worth every dollar pool seems to be one of those thing that Americans think you should be automatically an expert. Every...

    Question about chalk

I'm not a table expert but I use blue Master's and have zero issues. Congratulations on the new cloth I agonized over whether it was worth the cost. The only problem is that it spoils you for other cloth.
