    Tiger Everest question

A friend just brought over a Tiger Everest to install on his shaft. On the bottom where you apply the glue I notice a red layer. My question is, do you sand this layer off or just ruff it up as normal? I knew they had the red layer to tell you when to change the tip but was not aware of the...

    A couple of Ferrule questions

I have been reading all the threads and unfortunately I can't find any videos so here goes. 1) When replacing a cracked ferrule how do you remove it? I did one and gently trimmed it down on my late until I could see the threads. Then I peeled the material and retapped the threads. I read...

I have a cue companion and I use the 3/8 indexable carbide cutter. Maybe I should try and rotate the insert?

    Delaminating question

I guess I should ask the question another way. I notice with some tips after trimming the sides I can feel and or see the layers. Is this caused by overheating or just part of the process? With some fine sandpaper and burnishing it then evens out

    Delaminating question

I'm new to tips and trying to be very cautious about generating heat. When people talk about a tip delaminating are they talking about the side or the top of the tip? Does anyone have a picture of a delaminated tip? Thanks

    Ferrule Cleaning question

A local player asked me to put a tip on his 314-2 shaft. When I cleaned all the chalk away I found these marks. You can't feel them and a lite sanding did not remove them. Any suggestions or do I just leave it as is?

    Pitted Ferrule

I went to clean a friends 314 shaft and as I removed the chalk dust from the ferrule using some alcohol, I noticed all these pits in the ferrule with black in them. Any idea on what happened or what should be done to fix this? Thanks

    Predator 314 Ferrule question

I'm not sure how but I did know about the stepped tenon so I carefully cut away the ferrule and did not hurt anything. The challenge for me will be replicating the step in the new Ferrule I make.

    Predator 314 Ferrule question

KJ, Thank you for the response. I learned a long time ago to not read between lines or take anything to personal. I appreciate that the Cue makers out here take the time to answer questions and I can only imagine how frustrating it can get. I manage Cybersecurity organization and spend my...

    Predator 314 Ferrule question

Unfortunately I did not think to measure first because I figured I could purchase one. (lesson learned) I do have another 314-2 and will use that for length measurements. It's strange that with all the replacement parts available, no one sells these?

    Predator 314 Ferrule question

Is the capped thickness different on a Predator? I purchased some capped ferrules online, would they be .220/.250 thick or are they all different? Looking at a site like Atlas they don't provide that number. Thanks

    Predator 314 Ferrule question

First let me say I'm a hobbyist how like to play. Picked up a Cue Companion a few months back. Today I noticed my 314-2 had a cracked ferrule. I carefully cut it off, was surprised at how much ferrule material was past the tenon. It appears to me that the the end is concave as it looks like...
