The real problem is I need to get it in the basement that has a bulkhead with steps down so I think it needs to really come apart

Being short I often use a cue extension. I really don't like the ones available and notice many of the pros have the screw on type. I would be up for purchasing a new cue and was wondering if anyone can recommend a cue maker that makes a screw on extension along with their cue? Thanks
