I think the difference really comes down to build tolerances, the custom is a tighter, more precise instrument. Sure, they both make balls, just like a house cue off the wall, you really don't have to spend a cent if that's the only consideration.

A production cue is a tool. A custom cue is a precision instrument. :thumbup:

Terry knows. The only thing I'd add is clean the ferrule first, and after drizzling the glue on the crack, rub it into the crack with a small piece of paper and wipe off the excess before it dries. I've used cracked ivory ferrules for years after doing this.

I have great access to two fine poolhalls/sportsbars in Albuquerque. Doc & Eddy's has new Diamonds, 8-9' and 8-7', and a pretty good menu. New management is giving it a good shot to make Doc's the finest poolhall in the SW. But Slate St. in Rio Rancho, a suburb, is also a fine spot to play...
