Video Contest (20): Run Out This Rack of 9-Ball and Win Fun Prizes!

i got to admit wei , its not an easy one. Its even harder when you actually try to clear it. so many small tricky shots. poting the 1 is HARD. On my slow cloth i have to use a pritty hard stroke, to be able to get the cb 3 rails down table, butplaying it hard, reduces the bankangle. If i...

pocket options for diamond pro table

I second that. I've had my diamond setup for 2 years, and never ever ever did i had a ball jump up back on the table. I even think its impossible. the base of the net is not tightly stretched and the leather can hardly bounce anything back. I have no idea how you did this. I have been playing...

2009 AZ straight pool : Video runs

thanks for the video m8. I added a video of efren in the hall of fame. bad quality and speeded up, but enough to get the picture :) personally i have finished all my 9ball tournaments, and ive got some big 14-1 tournaments coming up, so from this weekend ill be starting my 14-1 training again...

quiet eye technique, golf & pool :

thanks for the reaction Roy :D you can controle your blinking. If you want your eyes to be open for 5 seconds, everyone can do that right I checked with myself, and i usually blink just when i move my eyes to another focuspoint. On each movement OB to CB or CB to OB, i blink. Not doing this...

quiet eye technique, golf & pool :

hehe joey :) thanks for the compliments. ITs gettint harder to find more things. I'm getting close to the bottem of it. the only thing i know, is that i'm getting results higher then i ever expected and close to as good as it gets. I played yesterday the team competition. I did use everything...

    physics-based draw shot advice

Yes that was the graph i was refering too. i hear you loud and clear :) Can't wait for the speed/spin ratio graphics. those will be very interesting like mike stated. What is your opinion on using a low open bridge vs a higher closed bridge for same tip offset, on the draw distance. Am i right...

Best food you've ever had at a pool hall?

down town jack in Leuven /Belgium has a Down town Jack special hamburger, that is to DYE for :) i eat it at least once a week.

    physics-based draw shot advice

Dont be sorry dave, the error was all mine . I misread your post. another question : if i understand the graphics correct, does this mean different speed influence the miscue limit? On the drawdistance VS speed graphic for different b offsets (dont remember the exact graphic letter), the...

    physics-based draw shot advice

exactly, thats what my graphic #1 stated. with speed i mean forward speed. sorry my english and terms might not always be perfect. bigger offset means less forward speed. now that i re-read you are correct. the measuring method is the same. I thought he stated the result (the offset) was the...

    physics-based draw shot advice

using your own drawings: you post exactly the same as me, but you conclude the opposit. if contact point would be same on both drawings, offset b would me smaller then offset x. hope its clear now. ;) The only thing that cue elevation does that visibly helps, is increasing the amount of spin...

    physics-based draw shot advice

Dave, You mean that different cue elevations, if hit the exact same point on the CB , doesnt influence tip offset??? This must be a mistake right? recheck my az2.picture. I used your definition of tip offset, to draw the line of action and cb center, to compare the difference in tipoffset...

quiet eye technique, golf & pool :

I would like to add some more thoughts. I have been having better results when I dont blink during the preshot routine. At first i thought I was just sharking myself just like if someone would ask, are you breathing in or out when you shoot, but the more i think of it, the more it does have...

thanks for taking time to post this solartje :o but the pissing contest beat you fair and square :boring2:

    physics-based draw shot advice

ok basic drawings: So A= elevated cue due to closed bridge = more spin, less speed B= "flatter" cue due to open bridge = less spin, more speed. As dave stated= Long cb-ob distance, the better is less spin, more speed. wich corresponds with a open bridge or non elevated cue. short cb-ob...

    physics-based draw shot advice

Dave ive been reading and watching this thread, and ive got a question/observation. IF i understand it all well, this shouldnt be a stupid question. ITs about cue-elevation (i know you still have to analyse this in more depth) but it might be something to put on the list of goals. If you...

Eric, I remember this meusium idea of yours isn't somthing new. I remember you commented on one of my posts about antique european cue's, saying you would love to have a huge display with some of the nicest cue's. If with time the finances get better, and you are breaking even again and get...

    5 days with Schmidt

put me first on the list to buy the DVD box. (with or without comments) 20 matches, should fit on 4 dvd's. this dvd's will double my full 14-1 collection  Just tell me where to send the money. @ John: I don't get it, i have no way to verify if you really hardly practise playing pool...

    Simonis 860 vs.860HR vs. 760

just my 0.02c Ive had 860 for 1.5y on my diamond pro, and after the first 6 months it started to slow down, to being really TO slow. The cloth is stretched close to max, and well placed. I'm going to put 760 without a doubt next time i recover it. PS: i live in europe, and every tournament...
