Practice with someone distracting you and learn to focus and block it out, like a silly girlfriend or wife. When whoever realizes they can't throw you they stop.

Playing 8 ball 6 months ago, I broke made 6 stripes with the CB center table, the other stripe laying in one side pocket and the 8 in the other. The fellow and I just looked at each other in disbelief. Won't happen again I have made 7 in 9ball, make 4-5 here and there. Helps having a strong break.
