As the op I took an indirect approach, trying not to offend anyone, you are spot on with the league you mentioned. However i talked to the captain, who said he made several complaints and got no wjere.....seeing as this is the first few weeks into the spring session . Maybe a little patience is...

eventually, People get a reputation and I have seen handicaps move up on players who have gotten better, (with APA). But what happened last night and a few weeks before, is hard to fathom. In our league ya have to win games ,but ball count is what drives the league. So a ''35'' handicap...

2 very good points...after writing the initial thread, it came to me to just run the balls off the table so the offending players never get their chance. Problem solved. ( I only wish I had the killer instinct to do so).:embarrassed2:

I been taking balls out and sinking them for a couple hours on sundays. (league is on tuesday)..That also seems to help.

I concur! I've seen people shake like a leaf when lining up a shot........I dunno what all the fuss is about........I agree , there are plenty of sports/hobbies way more stressful than pool, after all How important IS ''I'm better than you"" at a pool table?!:cool:

In the league I play in, there are players who routinely flub a match just to remain at their handicap.....they are not trying to improve, but to sandbag the next unsuspecting opponent. If they put the same skill involved in flubbing as they would at their game who knows the stars they could reach.

My standard''cool'' flourescents do this , although they are taking more energy than led's I only use the fixture when I play, so I don't mind the 2 bulbs that I use. center mounted length wise over the table.....works great. As for wattage...uh, I'd have to look.

I can totally relate......i lost a few to a lower handicapped ringer.....it happens. I actually did the guy a favor keeping the game tight. Oh well.

your problem is leave,imo, the cb needs to stay on the ''right'' side of the ob(s). by not doing this you will continually block yourself from completeing the task at hand ero......I chose a smpler plan that works a good% of the time....3 ball run an hide......put the cb in a safe place w/out...

pool halls are slowly becoming extinct. Just like the tv coverage.:(
