I run a dehumidifier in the summer in my basement. Humidity can get extremely high down there during those summer months. Very easy to control to about 50% or even lower with my gauge on the wall. I usually turn it on when it gets above 50.

Biggest problem with trying to reattach a used tip is centering. It's been trimmed to the exact diameter of your ferrule.

Not sure if the buffer will like being controlled by a dimmer switch.

I would doubt that weather would have much effect on that short of time. That's a pretty comfortable temp for a cue IMHO. Going from 15 degrees in the winter up to spikes of maybe 110 with humidity in the trunk of a car in the summer. That's NOT good for a cue.
