Washing the cloth on the table

I have shampooed cloth on tables. However, I pulled the rail top assemblies off, and cared for them separately. You don't want to get the wood portions wet. The method shown here would make it impossible to keep water from soaking the wood portions of the rails. It could cause swelling and...

Which way do you play this shot part 2 (tribute)

Thin cut on the 13, with low right. This puts the cue behind the 3. From there, I 3 rail kick the 8 in, and follow it in with the cue ball. You may think that it would be difficult to scratch behind the 8, but I'm just that good.

best way to sell my diamond 7 ft table? Facebook, offer up?

Call Diamond. Brian or Aaron may have someone in your area that is looking. They may even have an installer/distributor that would move it for the prospective buyer.

    Taom chalk from Billiard Factory

Scammers have been making numerous fake business accounts to sell billiard product, for about the past year now. I've seen several for Billiard Factory, some for JB Cases, even one for Grizzly.... They post in many of the billiard related groups on FB. As the saying goes, "If it looks too good...

    New Gold Crown

In regards to the Gold Crown VI: Pros: They have 1" slate Cons: There are WAY too many pieces... If I'm not mistaken, I believe that the 2 that I've set up came in more than 20 boxes There is no instruction sheet... Not a big deal for most tables, but the 2 that I set up had left over...

Brunswick GC5 Tournament Edition - Subrail extensions + cushions

It looks like there is a considerable gap under the rail. I'm guessing that the rail cloth isn't trimmed within the cloth relief dado. Also, I would guess that the rail bolts are loose. If you look at the "points" at the pocket openings, you can see that the cloth is stretched way too tight.

Just a bit of shameless self-promotion

I finish the side pockets before stretching end to end. You really want to leave more slack at the side pocket than you think you need. I actually pull it into the pocket to the point where it leaves slight wrinkles in front of the pocket. They are stretched out, when you pull the cloth into the...

Before Valleys and Gold Crowns ….

By today's standards, they aren't worth much. You can update them, to greatly improve the design. However, they sag in the center, just like Valley/Dynamo/Great American/etc... Not only that, you can't get reasonably priced replacement pocket liners that fit.

Can anyone help/advise on my Brunswick Gold Crown 9??

Please consider that most of the posters here have been lucky enough to find good deals on tables. They are also connected to the game, so they know that tables can be found on the cheap..... The buyer that you are likely to attract is someone who is not so well connected. Someone who just likes...

What do you guys think of this estimate?

Wow! These are 1990 prices... I charge almost double that, in the upstate New York area.

    Corner Pocket Angle U.S. Open

Bigger openings have a deeper pocket shelf. That's why your table plays tougher. The facing angle can be distorted, if the installer stretches the cloth too tight. The measurement should be from the leading edge of the cushion, along the same horizontal plane, to the back of the pocket.

Just a bit of shameless self-promotion

Thanks! It's taken some time to figure out how to get full coverage in the pockets, and still have the entire cloth installed super tight (with Simonis. anyway). Even so, I can't get it completely perfect every time, but it's definitely easiest on the Gold Crown I's with the tapered pocket drops.

    Brunswick 7 foot commercial table

There is no leveling system... Just the adjustable feet. You can expect the slate to sag, just like a Valley or similar... Or even a Diamond, when the installer doesn't use the leveling wedges.

    Brunswick 7 foot commercial table

The quality is poor. I wouldn't advise it. I just installed one a couple of months ago... For the first time in my career, I had a set of slate that I simply could not fix. We had to file a warranty claim for the customer. I'm also not impressed with the build quality.

Simonis Cloth for Gold Crown IV

Simonis Grey (NOT Shark Grey) is my favorite color, by far. Unlike Tournament Blue, it doesn't look horrible after a couple of months. Also, the Grey Master chalk matches it quite well. Here is a customer's 7' Diamond alongside his fully restored Gold Crown I:

Can I add a third nail in my pockets? Pics included

This is correct. Just add a second nail on each side, toward the bottom of the pocket facing.

Diamond Red to Blue cushion conversion needed in Florida

As long as the Dr Pepper is cold, you'll be alright. :D Also, if you're still looking to move some Diamonds into Alaska, I've got a good understudy that is currently spending some time up there. He's experienced with moving/installing Diamonds, and he has a CDL.
