I believe the problem that made scratches in the balls was leather pockets that seperated near the top and under it was metal. As the balls hit the top of the pockets the metal made marks in the balls slightly.

I just got a new TV set of Centennials and the room owner has tables with sharp pockets with metal sticking out. Of course it scratches new balls just slightly and can't be removed with ball cleaner. Does anyone know what to use to cover it up or remove it. Someone told me scratch remover that...
