what the heck is wrong with my team mates ?

So your team mates are like every other "serious" player (I include myself and everyone on this board, bangers and pros alike)...everyone thinks they're better than they actually are, and when it's demonstrated in competition rationalize the reason why. Human nature. At least they love the game.

Where should I go to become a Pro.

Yes I do. He's an EU citizen, he only needs residency. One of the top Cypriot snooker players is actually a Brit, yet he represents Cyprus on their national snooker team, and played for them in the European 9 Ball championship. You're absolutely correct about the small percentage that...

Where should I go to become a Pro.

Do yourself a favor, stay in Europe! I'd welcome you here in the U.S., but really, you've got an excellent way to develop into a true professional very near you. I played off and on all over Europe, and I'll say your best path is the Netherlands, Germany or Austria. Very organized league...

Custom Cue Question for Sourhern Players

Grew up in East Texas, served my first tour in the Army in Fort Polk...shot a lot in Georgia, too, back then. Everybody I hung with lusted after a Richard Black; I really wanted a Joss West, too. I saw a Scruggs once, and it was too out of my price range. Saw a Balabushka once and several...

Experiments in looking at the cueball while delivering the stroke.

Okay, that was two years ago...took me a long time to go back and find my original post. About a year ago, I decided what the heck, let's give this a real try, not just dip my toe in. I've been going CB last since and I'm with Greg on this. It by far is the most consistent and effective PSR...

Big bucks for old production cues? Are you nuts!?

1987-1989, about half the players in any room I went to (East Texas, Western Louisiana and Georgia) were playing with Meucci, about a third were playing with McDermott (mostly the newer D line, some C models) and the rest were a mix of Viking, Mali, etc. The Meucci Sneaky Pete was a pretty nice...

Do even the most well respected cue makers make cues with uneven points, at times?

Black Balled is correct, it's rare to have them absolutely dead even (in fact, some makers actually correct slight deviations with ink)...but anything more than about 1/8 inch is impossible to correct and will show. I've seen a couple of highly respected cue makers' cues that had some uneven...

    Cyclop vs Aramith Pro tournament

I've played with them all and I agree with this assessment. I play with a set of conventional color Cyclop, with the older, translucent eyeball logo CB and love them. Incidentally, my Diamond table is in the garage, and I haven't gotten around to putting any carpeting/flooring around the table...

    Forward Balance?

Forgot to mention...I prefer a forward balance cue. I gotta pocket the balls, can always figure out how to get the CB where i gotta get it. Finesse is great, but you gotta get it in the hole first.

    Forward Balance?

only my personal observation...a forward weighted cue offers better ball pocketing accuracy, but a little less action on the cue ball (tougher to draw)...finesse is better with a rearward weighted cue. If you factor in taper, length and weight, then we're in the personal preference angle. Kind...

Willie Blade cues. Get our stick for free for a review.

Just posted the review...I'll update after I try one of my favorite tips on it; I have no doubt I'll like it even more (which will be hard to do, I love this cues hit). http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?p=5518719#post5518719 Sorry the pictures blew the word wrap out a little, but I...
