Thank you. I saw another Titlist in a picture somewhere that was advertised as rosewood and the grain and color looked very similar, but I'm no expert at wood.
The whole cue is a bit weathered and I'm hoping to ship it off to RAT this week to get it rejuvenated a bit. I bought it new in 1973 and it has a lot of miles on it. I hope he can get it tuned up and back to looking presentable. I'll post some pictures after he gets done with it.
He suggested trying to keep it as original as possible, so I hope he can keep the wrap...I think it may be Cortland. Whatever it is, it is totally different than the wraps on any of my other cues with linen.
I compared it to the pictures in the following link and the grain looks to be close to some of the pieces shown there. Especially the piece next to the tapered forearm.
