Well the cue is back on the market as the prospective buyer could not follow through on this deal. So I guess will have to bump up the thread.

I am not a cuemaker but I will suggest that you can get a house cue you like and ask a cuemaker to cut it into 2 and install a joint. If you want a custom SP, get a maker to make it for you with a conical taper, big joint (>0.850"), put on a harder ferrule and tip - it might hit like a break...

I like tips that are medium hard, hold chalk well and don't mushroom. Having gone through quite a number, my favourites are Tiger Everest, Moori Mediums and good medium-hard Lepros. Everests are a bit soft when installed but after they are broken in, they are consistent, have the solid "thud"...
