Damn had no idea Buddy was turning 70! Was watching some of his old matches today. That guy pulled off some great shots in some high pressure moments. Not a flashy player just super solid I feel he is the man to watch if you want to see the fundamentals at there best guy has an awesome stroke.

I am glad to see all the activity on this post. I can see everyone's point on this issue. I think a lot of this is dependent on the level the player is at. But knowledge is knowledge and if it is presented in the proper way if is useful regardless. But i can understand wanting an instructor...

Yep that's me 1000 dollar cue and a five dollar game. But I practice as much as I can, read as much as I can. Pool is a learning process, may as well learn with a Gilbert instead of a wal mart cue.

What's up suspence is killing me.

Our state rep for this area would come to the old pool hall in town and play snooker. I was a young kid got a lot of five dollar lessons on that old table. Lol great memories,he always smoked kools and would set them on the table and mash them flat so they would not roll off. I have watched this...

If you are willing to spend that kind of money go with a custom. It may not be all tricked out but it will be nice and play great. Gilbert, Chris Nitti have cues in this price range. Iam sure others do as well but these are people that I have dealt with in the past. Good luck!:cool:

Yep go with the players great cue I have one I have shot with for years. Stays in the case with my gilbert. For the money they are a great cue. Good luck!
