I have not read anything about Buddy Hall in a while. How is he doing these days? I know some people are very private and if that is the case just ignore my thread. Don't post anything that he may not want posted. He does have a lot of friends and fans and we would like to know how he is though.

He's doin' okay. Friend of mine talked to him a while back and said Buddy had been playing a little in Dallas and OkC. Said he'd lost some weight and was trying to lose more. He'll be 70 this year. Hard to believe.

Damn had no idea Buddy was turning 70! Was watching some of his old matches today. That guy pulled off some great shots in some high pressure moments. Not a flashy player just super solid I feel he is the man to watch if you want to see the fundamentals at there best guy has an awesome stroke.

Buddy played what we called 18" shape: 18" from the object-ball and always on the correct side. Cue-ball control that bordered on the surreal.

He was at White Diamonds a few weeks ago.... Laughing and giggling and even dancing a little between shots lol.

Yep, he's roaming around down here in the south, was in Houston for a few weeks too, playing anything from $10 to $500... He was still gettin the cheese.

He has been playing a lot at Legends in League City, Tx.. I saw him there but it sure didn't look like he could dance, still shoots a mean stick and yes he will play cheap set with anyone, not many world champs will do that. Shows you why he is a real stand up guy.---Smitty

Back Home

He's back home now. He's doing as good as he can. He was down south for a while running around as stated. He's been loosing weight. Said he lost 60lbs using portion control...

Too bad he dogged in the challenge of champions. Over and over again...in the same rack.

Never met the man but I watched a lot of videos.
In one of the videos, the commentator attributes the following quote to Buddy:
"Take care of whitey and whitey will take care of you."
