I agree with Bob Jewett & Bca8ball - a different tip will make all the difference. The harder the more prominent the hit will be. One other thing you can do is stop using it for a few days and you will apprediate how good this shaft is.

I've also read on another thread here that Pechauer cues were the worst hitting cues...someone even ventured to say that Joe should not be making cues because they played so bad.

Equipment-wise, Efren is a testament and a constant reminder that all you need is a cue that feels right, MAYBE dead straight & a tip that feels great when shooting.
