I play with a Bobby Hunter and its got a real stiff hit. Ive hit with the mezzo pu standard shaft and that plays pretty similar. I also test hit the Alpha shaft and love the stiffness of it. Its got the stiff hit of a standard shaft with a little less deflection.

its up to you. most of the house cues are cuetec style with fiberglass coated shafts so they don't warp in the humid heat. if you're gonna be there for a while and have enough time to play pool, then bring your cue, otherwise if you're just gonna hit some here and there just use a house cue...
