Mosconi Cup -- Is a Non-Playing Captain Even Worthwhile?

I would agree that they do not need a coach. AZ takes this MC event to an extreme level. Its a made for TV short race event. Pick the five guys, get them there a day or so early to have some fun as a team, practice a bit, and acclimate to the environment. Having a bunch of requirements...

Horrible- again: Hard times cue club- Woodbridge, va

It has been several months since I have been back there. Its unfortunate but that type of attitude happens all the time there which is one of the reasons I dont go out of my way to go there. As you noted if it wasnt for Bobby I would never return.

Shortening the races on PPV events

Baseball games do not play the bottom of the 9th inning when the inning doesnt matter. Not a huge deal and they had plenty of content imo.

Samsara Break/Jump Tips - Six failed in the past month!

The only issue I have had with samsara on my break cue are the occasional layers that chunk off. My last tip had to reshape it twice during the life of it. If your issues are with the tips coming clean off "noteably at the ferrel", I would be more inclined to look into the person putting them...

    Chapter 6, Departure from Texas

People will do what they want to do. Most of us posters have other priorities than pool (job/family) yet we spend a ton of time on this forum reading and posting about pool during times that we are unable to get out and play. This person gets enjoyment from posting her exploits and alot find...

At Diamond Billiards in Midlothian VA

I been playing at HT quite a bit lately--mostly Monday evenings for league. The rails are noticable. JJ's became Dragon's Lair and now is the Green Room under new owners. Tables still in rough shape and quite a bit slower than anywhere else. Action is 1P only unless you want to play Chris...

    1st calcutta at White diamonds

You are correct. Whoever bought the player gets the money for that calcutta prize slot. If the player bought half of himself from the "buyer" before the tourney started, he then would give half of the $ to the player. Top players have severe risk due to cost, but there were many many players...

AT SBE: Russian Kenny + Josh Brothers = well, you know

If the runout is easy I can definitely see going for the runout in a pit setting. Sitting around waiting an hour and longer to hit a ball can get you tight. Running a easy rack may help get you in stroke for a longer run in the pit. It's hard to gain momentum coming to those tables a runout...
