    Does taking ibuprofen affect performance?

Ibuprofen is quite simply an anti-inflammatory. If you have pain related to inflammation it may help your game because it can decrease the pain. It should not have any affect on your mental status or focus though, unless you have an adverse side effect to it. Also, Aleve is not an ibuprofen...

    How to shoot this shot

I don't think it really matters which pocket you shoot it in. Both shots are very makeable, it just depends on which one you feel more comfortable with. The chance for scratching is definitely present when shooting into the top corner, so that has to be considered, and of course, position...

    9Ball Hardest Break- Simonis

That got a nice chuckle out of me. Good one.

How rare is it to be able to do this?

I don't think the cloth needs to be new, just the ball polished. If I clean my CB with a turtle wax type polish, I can draw it 5x as far as when it is dirty, and my cloth is standard home cloth that is 9 years old.

How rare is it to be able to do this?

It's one of the shots on Bert Kinisters videos to practice to improve your stroke. I don't think it's very easy, but far from impossible. I think all pros can do it, and most likely most B level players if they practiced the shot enough.

to push through or take a break

Hopefully pool can be something to get your mind off the stress. Try starting your play with some basic stroke drills using a specific pres shout routine to get your mind on pool and off work, and to get your stroke honed in. I thonk you will find that you will play much better doing this first.

Don't Want Anyone To Know They Play BB

They fit better in the home. I would personally rather play on a 9 footer any day, but I don't think there's anything wrong with someone wanting to play on a barbox.

    fast break....

It's both timing and power if your hitting it that hard. That's like a 90 mph fastball. You need some God given gifts to generate speed along with impeccable timing to get it up to 30 mph.

    cloth opinions please

Why in the world would you say that without even knowing anything about his table. I would never put 760 on anything smaller than a 9 footer, and it's still too fast for most people, and wears too quickly. Personally, I would put Simonis 860 on my table. Its the most used cloth in...

What did you get for Xmas (pool related)?

I got the measles cue ball. Have wanted one for a while, and finally got one. Looking forward to using it tonight.

    Measles cue ball

I used to see the measles cue ball used a lot in tournaments, but haven't seen it in quite a while. I always liked being able to see the spin on the cue ball. Is there a reason for its disappearance other than marketing? Is there something wrong with the measles ball vs other cue balls?

    Not letting a guy rematch?

I agree with this. In the pool world, many perceive that quitting winner is wrong. However, if you establish your intentions before starting of only playing one set, then they know what they are getting into, and can choose to do so or not.

    American Rotation Challenge match

I would love to learn to play this game. It seems like the ultimate challenge. I can't even beat the 9 ball ghost yet though.

How much room do I need for a pool table?

Often furniture can be added that doesn't get in the way as long as it doesn't sit too high. Couches of course can get in the way of where someone might need to stand, but spectator chairs can be moved if needed.

How much room do I need for a pool table?

I agree that 15 x 20 is minimum to be able to play all shots with a 58" cue on a 9' table. Do any less, and you will regret it. It's no fun to go through a run out and get stuck with a shot you can't shoot correctly.

Break Speed or How Many Balls Made?
