I appreciate all the kind words, we try very hard to make an honest playing cue, fairly priced in a reasonable time frame.
Radial pins
Unfortunately, the information being presented is not entirely correct about the thread count - it is NOT 7.5 - the thread count to correctly create a REAL - UNI-LOC RADIAL pin can only be done on a CNC Machine since it is a fractional number greater than "5" that cannot be...
I currently have available two (2) Kavo 60,000 RPM spindles with air collet closure, a Kavo inverter set up to run either 1 or 2 of the spindles, 1/8" collets, mounting block, air regulator with switches, and 15' cables - $5,000. complete
Hey Dickey, I believe that perhaps I am the "well known cuemaker" you have alluded to and yes, I did indicate that by going thru a pallet of maple shaftwood squares I was able to obtain some really nice wood - which I gladly paid a bit of a premium for just to have the rare opportunity to select...

John Davis Blanks
I have found that if my customers are looking for a traditional full spliced veneered cue that starting with a blank from John Davis IS the way to go. I maintain an inventory of at least 24 full spliced blanks (and several half spliced) in the shop. This inventory offers...
The style of the blank is a Burton Spain . . . where the maple from the handle section was spliced into the front leaving a short section of the maple splice exposed. I made several cues with this feature while Burton was still alive which he felt was quite novel. Paul
Andy, you might start buy purchasing the videos from Cue Components (Joe Barringer) and the cue building manual from Cueman Billiards (Chris Hightower) the information contained in these sources will answer many if not all of the questions you have at this stage.
I have a dozen of John's blanks in stock - his most recent construction is excellent - Burton Spain would be proud of these. As far as materials and glues etc. I have not experienced any problems to date.
