Willie Hoppe - The Master :)

Yes, he was one of the great players. My first two piece cue was a Willie Hoppe with a leather wrap. Cheap but a wonderful playing cue. Someone stole it. I bought another one and someone broke into the pool hall where I kept it and stole all the two piece cues. That was the last one I owned...

    Playing With 64" Cue

I had a 63" custom cue made and I just loved it. I'm sorry to say both shafts warped so I seldom use it now. I'm quite sure if you hold a standard length cue and a longer cue the same your stroke will not change.

    Mike Sigel Cues

I have no idea why they have lost value. Cost high or low, the cue that feels like it was made just for you, that is the cue you should buy. My 2 cents. Shoot well my friend.

    gemstones inlayed in a cue?????

The only problem with this is the cue may be much more apt to get stolen. I switched to a Sneaky Pete cue for this reason and I still have to keep a close eye on that. It would look very nice though. My 2 cents. Shoot well my friend.

How much do I really need to spend on my first cue?

I bought a two piece cue from China that cost $12.50. I thought it was going to be junk but I wanted to see how good it was. I was amazed when I got the cue. The quality was top notch; finish, joint, everything. I sold it for $25.00 which was a steal. Everyone that used it liked it. I sell...

    The Thinking On Bigfoot Slop

Big Foot 10 ball is my favorite game. It used to be 9 ball but I've seen to many games and matches won because of a slop shot. The reason 10 ball is now my favorite game is the call all shots and no slop rule. If slop is allowed I will never watch a 10 ball game again.

I'm sorry to say the boy does not live in Michigan. I'll try to find a good A player that banks well to help him here. I will also buy some videos when my wife and I get back to America. Many thanks to all of you for your help. I can't thank you enough. Shoot well my friends.

    Glasses when shooting?

They make special billiard glasses. I think they come from England. They cost a bundle. I bought some but never wear them. If you have to wear glasses I suggest you buy one of the largest frames you can. I have friends that did this. Not to cool looking but they sure do work well. My best...

Can pool room owners play in their own tournaments?

I play in my own tournaments. My tournaments have a very small pay out. They are mostly just for neighborhood kids. I never win them but I play in them and that ain't gonna change. My 2 cents worth.
