Ebony on ebony with six high maple points. According to Laurie they have done a few six high pointers in the 80's. Design of this cue was from Laurie and her team. Butt weigh 15.8oz and shaft 3.29oz and 3.40oz. So that is 19.09oz and 19.2oz. I just got this cue a few days ago...

2012 World 8-Ball champion, Chang Jung Ling did the same thing too. He did his shaft over a steam boiler. :D

Place both hands near the joint. Give it a sudden fast twist. It should open easily. All my friends find it difficult to open up my cue and I have to show them how. Never have one hand on the handle, you may loosen the A-joint. Both hand near the joint.

The op says it just started to rattle.

It does matter a lot. Wrong balance point will throw cue off a straight line cueing when doing power shot.

Ultimate tip tool does the job well too by placing it under the feet.

I agree, we have few guys in our club doing the same thing.

Do they make one piece cue before? I just cam across one with 'National' stamp on it.

Is this oil finished? It is illegal to post cue like this here. It makes me want to order one.
