    WPC 9 ball in Qatar

I can't believe they are showing horse racing instead of the WORLD POOL CHAMPIONSHIPS

    WPC 9 ball in Qatar

Very exciting. I'm from Taiwan so I'm rooting for Chang, but since I am American it also would be nice to see an American win it all this year.. mixed feelings. Looks like SVB just took another game.

Yani Tseng, LPGA winner and a top pool player too

There was a Taiwanese article on how she played pool at where ever the city was that her last tournament was to improve her putting skills. Pretty creative I would say, but I would love to see a video of her playing :)

Where's the price of chalk going?

If people can justify the price they pay for the different in quality, thats fine. For most of us, the standard chalk works for us and won't need to switch it up.

    discussion on stance

I believe spending the money on actual game experience in the long run will get you better, however, a couple lessons could be valuable and put you on the proper path. You don't get better by making the same mistakes, but rather when you learn to play correctly (a couple lessons can do that) and...

Good hitting customs that use 3/8 x 10 pin size?

I second that. The butt can contribute to the hit depending on the type of wood used and the build quality, but having played with many cues in my life, the shaft is the major difference maker in terms of playability and hit.

    Ball placement in 9ball rack.

Chris, well said. Unless you can create the ideal consistent table conditions and ball and break power and aim plus controlling the temperature and humidity, then really, no breaks will be the same.

    SVB vs Wu

Thanks. It's a shame that less and less players collectively are travelling across the world these days. I remember when I was younger in Taiwan, I would see most of the top American players show up in the tournaments including Early, Archer, Nick Varner, and so forth.

Good hitting customs that use 3/8 x 10 pin size?

I believe Bryan Mordt uses these pins as well. Great looking and hitting cues that are not too expensive.

    SVB vs Wu

I do agree with that Wu and other Taiwanese players should travel to here in the US more. However, there's quite a lot of prize money in Asia already and that the travel expenses are really not worth the risk. I think the biggest factor is the language. None of the Taiwanese players speak any...

    SVB vs Wu

Can you list some of the countries and the tournaments he played in? Just curious.

    SVB vs Wu

I probably don't know SVB well enough to make such a statement. However, are you implying that all Asian countries are the same, and travelling between Asian countries to play pool doesn't count as travelling internationally? But if I may ask, can you tell me where SVB has travelled to to play...

suggestions for custom length (55" or 56") cue

I know some guys on here make shorter shafts, then you wouldn't have to buy a new butt!

    discussion on stance

Awesome man! Great to hear that there are guys out there like you. To run racks is one story, and to play pool properly is another one. I spent awhile trying to figure the game out - I could draw and follow and use basic english, but I had no concept on how to apply them properly. And it really...
