So I got drunk, gambled, almost got kicked out and bought a cue

You can get $150 all day long on eBay. Sell customs on AZ, sell Meuccis on the bay.

    Getting a "spot" when gambling

If you don't have to sink one of the last 2 balls on the table when getting the last 2 as a spot, how would the guy giving up weight ever win? He could run down to the 8 and you'd just be like "there's 2 balls on the table, I win" I can't even wrap my mind around suggesting a change for...

"No Matter How Small"- a children's book about pool

I just verified the following: Log into your Kickstarter account. At the top right, there's a menu that allows you to see the projects you've backed. Select 'No matter how small' On the page for the book, under the description, are three tabs (story, updates, and comments) Under the...

anyone use front hand english exclusively?

I feel like, if I were to attempt all of the assorted methods of aiming and englishing discussed on this forum, my cue would somehow end up turned around in my hands and I would no longer be able to discern the colors of the balls on the table. Incredibly, my iPad accepted englishing as a word...

"No Matter How Small"- a children's book about pool

The preceding email was the one that took you to the survey. Tina sent out a follow up explaining that per KS policy she didn't have anyone's address and the survey was the only way to get items to backers.

"No Matter How Small"- a children's book about pool

My book arrived weeks ago. There was action required from one of the Kickstarter emails in the form of a survey I believe, where you had to enter your shipping address. If you go to the Kickstarter page I think there may be a link or means to provide that info.

What tip is on your playing cue, and why?

I put Triangle tips on my cues. They're dirt cheap, everyone has them if I have to get it changed somewhere unexpectedly, and I like the way they play. I like to scuff and shape my tip every time I take my cue out of my case, and I don't fret about the wear duration of a tip that cost me less...

Brilliant 2 way shot from Efren

The time-referenced links never act right for me on my iPad. The videos always play from the start. If you look at the link, the number at the end is the number of seconds into the video being referenced. You can find the desired point with some equations and science.

    Break Practice

The Breakrak, the inventor/seller is a member here. His name is Charlie Bond, and his user name is similar. Look up the website and give him a call... ask if he has any returns or test models. I got a good discount on mine because of some marks that would've been there after my first use anyway!

Light Blue or Sky Blue chalk?

Masters made/makes light blue chalk. I recall it being given as prizes on the Gold giveaways here. I'll see if it's still made and link if I find it. Found this: http://www.pooldawg.com/product/master-chalk-box-of-12-cubes/ It shows the color options Masters has available, and the Sky Blue is...

I am a Producer for American Road Player, Let's Talk

I dig getting trinkets and gadgets, but my donation was made solely to acquire a poster (although it was pretty ruthless to require a 50% higher donation to have it signed). I will continue to champion my cause of signed memorabilia being offered for streams, tournaments, challenge matches...

wow SVB forfeits match vs Alcano

If quitting afforded Shane the chance to continue on while minimizing drama, I agree with his decision. We've all played somebody so unpleasant that, even after a win, our attitude and focus are worse for it. If you haven't played a person like that, you might be that person.

    Anyone' game affected by apparel?

Think a little harder then. If you consistently practice while wearing pajamas in the basement, the restriction of motion and change in height of going to business casual clothing with heeled shoes is pretty significant. I won't argue that performance is independent of the selected clothing...

Wanted / For Sale Forum Activity Has Slowed Down Like Molasses.....

The w/FS forum has changed my default view to reflect most recently posted threads, and not the most recent thread activity. It makes it look more dead than it really is, since I only see new threads and not all the bumps, price changes, etc. It would be useful except for those who just update a...

Soft 8 ball break- or any other suggestions

I tend to break 8 ball the same way I do a 10 ball rack. About 1 diamond or so out from the spot, I hit the head ball square and hard. With a touch of follow to try parking the cue ball, the 2 second row balls go towards the sides. If one of them doesn't drop, they're usually close enough to...

Oscar Dominguez and Amar Kang split

If networks cut off the Super Bowl after the third quarter so that Everybody Loves Raymond could play in the normal time slot, there would be rioting and assaults at the network's office. Do the same to the Friday game between Derp and Herp local high schools and nobody would care. The argument...

    THE RAGE 25oz J/B WHO's TRIED ONE??

It's not a Rage brand cue, but I put a second weight bolt in my Players J/B that put it up around 24-26 oz. I'm not a super speed breaker, but I get a good spread and usually make a ball or two in an 8 ball rack. I break the same as I do for 10 ball (patterned after SVB placement) and one of the...
