Curious if anyone here knows of a cue maker who is authorized, and able to replace the butt plate on a NOVA pool cue, and put a new NOVA logo on?

Reach out to Proficient Billiards for a quote. Send Scott some pictures and he'll be able to tell you how much you'd be looking at for any work you need or want done.

Possibly Proficient Billiards. They do excellent work and replaced the Predator logo on the butt cap of one of my cues. Ryan

Curious if anyone here knows of a cue maker who is authorized, and able to replace the butt plate on a NOVA pool cue, and put a new NOVA logo on?

That is really cool, about their stamp being under the wrap. And, yeah, I am afraid the repair costs wouid be a lot. All I really need though is a new butt cap, and a new ferrule and tip, though a new refinish woukd be cool. I figure that might cost $175-$200, for just the new butt plate, and...

...one. You might want to see if you can track down who ended up with his equipment and/or stock. Side note: According to a Proficient Billiards post, the company stamp should be under the wrap. If you get the butt cap replaced, you might also consider getting it rewrapped and a photo taken...

    Mike Erwin Cue Value

...exact same Meucci Originals, that I had refinished by Proficient, just like my last one, and the 2nd time around, I think it only auctioned off for around $900, iirc. Both cues were identical, and in flawless condition, after being refinished by Proficient Billiards, and they were both straight.

    Judd Fuller 94 cue blemish

...is that you stand a good chance of causing more harm than good for the potential return. If you're absolutely hellbent on doing something with it, reach out to Proficient Billiards or Ryan Theewen (RAT Cues) to see what they have to say. And if they say they can take care of it, let them...

    Refinishing work in Canada?

...possibly with slight re-tapering. Aside from wanting a beautiful new finish, I want to make sure the signature on the handle is preserved. Recommendations for the highest quality work in Canada? I send most work to Proficient Billiards but would like to keep things within Canada. Thanks, Ryan

Miz Cue ? Does anyone have any info on this one, Unique

The Gus I have is a well used cue. It’s all over the internet if you google it. Was refinished by proficient billiards before I bought it 15 years ago. The wrap was saved, it doesn’t look great, but feels amazing as it’s well used Cortland. Was the right move to save it. I’ll post a pic of...

    Slightly Warped Cue Shaft Playable.?

"Or just send it to PB and have it straightened out." That was what was in question. I doubt Scott is offering such a service. Unless he has one of these! :ROFLMAO:

"It's the Indian, not the arrow" the most nonsense I've ever heard.....

Cheap? I say collectible. Originality matters. You want to remove the patina? Sacrilege. You could lose the signature! Everybody knows it won't work right without that signature!

Send photos to Proficient Billiards( they are online) - tell them what you want done to the cue - he will quote you a fair price by today’s standards and the whole process including shipping both ways will take about 30 days. Ship your cue UPS or Fed Ex - not the Post Office!

    Cost of cue refinishing

I have had mixed results from Proficient. The good was very good at a good price to say the least and the bad was rather disappointing. I have not used them in a long time they may be better or worse? I do my own stuff for myself mostly anymore but Pechauer is as good as it gets PERIOD...
