...exact same Meucci Originals, that I had refinished by Proficient, just like my last one, and the 2nd time around, I think it only auctioned off for around $900, iirc. Both cues were identical, and in flawless condition, after being refinished by Proficient Billiards, and they were both straight.

just send them to proficient billiards and tell them what you want. they do great work and reasonable and quickly. no bullshit with your cue being held hostage for months in some guys cellar with nothing being done.

Cheap? I say collectible. Originality matters. You want to remove the patina? Sacrilege. You could lose the signature! Everybody knows it won't work right without that signature!

Send photos to Proficient Billiards( they are online) - tell them what you want done to the cue - he will quote you a fair price by today’s standards and the whole process including shipping both ways will take about 30 days. Ship your cue UPS or Fed Ex - not the Post Office!

I have had mixed results from Proficient. The good was very good at a good price to say the least and the bad was rather disappointing. I have not used them in a long time they may be better or worse? I do my own stuff for myself mostly anymore but Pechauer is as good as it gets PERIOD...
