Great run. I am still trying to get past 12. Boo, Hiss. Sometimes I play really lousy position but am working on it.

Excellent results tonight by changing one thing with my stroke

Niels Feijen has IMO the perfect stroke as does Line Kjoersvik. They are my role models when it comes to what I want my stroke to look like. I also have trouble with backsliding into my old stroke (Poke and Hope). Anyone have any thoughts on how to make the new stroke a habit. As long as I...

Natural Talent (young) VS. Veteran (old)

I agree, Justnum. I didn't learn to play pool until I was 60 years old! And I am still getting better at the ripe old age of 71 (72 in July). I play 8-ball (which I don't like), 9-ball, 14.1 and One Pocket (at which I suck but which I really love). My stamina is as good (almost) as it has...

"Into Focus" and a Pre Shot routine

Thanks for the post, Tom and Thanks to Mr. Jewett. I have printed this off to read periodically when I need to work on my preshot routine (this happens almost daily...lol). Nell

On average how far do you drive to go shoot pool?

I drive 92+ miles round trip three times a week to Montgomery, AL to shoot pool. (I live way out in the boonies.) So I make a day of it. I am at the Breakroom when it opens at 2:00 and I don't leave until league is over. Then I stop for groceries, gas, whatever on the way home to justify all...

what to do preparing for tournament?

Well, you said it yourself. This is not for big money. So where's the pressure? If you are trying to gain respect in a "new" pool environment, that might put pressure on you. If you are worried that your game has gone away in your 20 year absence, you have already spent some time preparing...

Return of my lost pool cue

I received a phone call last night from a pool buddy who saw the signs I put up in the pool hall. He said another buddy found it laying on the table where I was shooting (obviously out of sight under the rail or I would have noticed it when putting away my equipment). He put it in his case for...

    SVB vs. Frost

Your avatar is disgusting and demeaning to women, besides having absolutely nothing to do with billiards. Why don't you put it on your porn site?

    Lost pool cue

I say "lost" in quotation marks because I left it in the pool hall, my carelessness. Whoever found it knew it was someone else's cue but did not turn it in but took it home. I don't know what else to call it other than "lost".

    Stolen Cues

This really is a great idea. Only problem I see is I don't have a picture of my cue that was "lost" and now I can't get a picture. It never occurred to me to take a picture of my cue prior to losing it. Would a written description work as well?

    Lost pool cue

Thanks, oldplayer. I hope I get mine back. I have recently thought about getting a new cue but I don't like having this decision forced on me. Besides, every time I think about buying a new cue I think it would be a waste of money because I really liked the one I had and I could spend a lot...

    Lost pool cue

A McDermott plain in design with an Intimidator I2 shaft and a ding on the butt between the joint and the linen wrap. Thanks...I have already posted a "No Questions Asked Reward" of $100. The cue is not worth much more than that except for the I2 shaft but I really liked it. It was the first...
