Converting antique Brunswick from Snooker to Pool

I like to keep things original as possible ....but that's just me and it's your table .... I used some wood putty and a stain pen that they make for wood repair and it worked quite well .....to hide some fairly significant defects at the bottom of the legs.....doesn't hurt to try as the stuff...

Converting antique Brunswick from Snooker to Pool

um ...no there are holes on the top of the slate. These holes /screws hold on the slate backing and also attach the slate to the frame. They are normal and should be there. I don't know why they are not perpendicular..they may have been over drilled at angle to allow tightening of the slate...

I am also noticing that the sights are circular not diamonds ....the two arcades on ebay the 6 leg has circular the 4 leg diamonds .... i think the ultimate would be kling that had the arches on the legs ...like a hybrid kling/arcade ....i wonder if they made one of those.

Why 60mm slate on carom tables?

i would guess that it gives a more stable condition as far as temp. and less prone to warp over time

here is the answer i got from Brunswick themselves on my 1916 Kling.. "marvin.eisenhauer@brunswickbilliards.com K-66 profile cushion rubber should be used to replace the Monarch on your Kling table. The K-55 profile was not used until about 1960. Marv" of course mine was not modified from a...

The balls jump after hitting the rail on my Diamond Pro.. Any ideas?

what angle did the original subrails have? what angle are they re-tooled to? what is the original and subsequent reasoning behind the answers to my first two questions? it seems like everyone is avoiding the actual facts that we are discussing and I would like to know why.

The balls jump after hitting the rail on my Diamond Pro.. Any ideas?

So I think we really need to know how this table played when it was new. Was there ball hop then? i agree that if the table plays great for years and all of a sudden has a problem especially after it was moved or re-worked, then the cause needs to be investigated and the manufacturer is likely...

The balls jump after hitting the rail on my Diamond Pro.. Any ideas?

If the balls hop then they hop ...that is out of spec ...the rules say no ball hop. it's not a minor problem. I would say diamond should pay for a service on a table that isn't up to spec and can't be calibrated by normal means. but I guess it will make a lot of money for the folks on this...
