Thank You... Mr. Walsh, Many thanks for the copy.:D:D:D I just downloaded it today. On initial skimming, it looks like a very good read. Sorry for the late chack back. I have been sidetracked lately... Now, off to read... Jeremy

    CTE and throw

Looks like their aim is off... I think they got the wrong parallel line there... Death would in fact cure their diseases rather quickly. My first thouhgt was that they got the wrong track... then I actually read the story. That is hillarious. It probably started with a drunk passed out on...

    Mike Webb Bumperless Hoppe Cue

got it... saw a previous post I got it now... I was on the right track. The stacked versus mitered and of course recut. I saw a previous thread with Mr. Webb's pic of his stacked and mitered points on a "nice rack" as another poster put it. Also, thanks for posting the current pics... very...

    Mike Webb Bumperless Hoppe Cue

I would assume that recut points is not what you are referring to... forgive my limited knowledge. Overlap like a lap joint? (the style that produces a seam on the edge of the veneer intersection, not the 45 bevel down the middle of 2 that have been cut?) I don't recall the technical term for...

    Mike Webb Bumperless Hoppe Cue

What method would it be? I thought recut was the method used for solid veneers with no line. I was going to post that until I saw your post. Surely it wouldn't be a sharp set of inlays... Either way, the cue looks great. Nice choice.

Need help choosing the cue: a Predator Sneaky Pete or a Joss at the same price point?

welcome... Hello and welcome... I have several Joss Cues and went through a Predator Z and Z2 shaft. It all boils down to what you like and how it feels to you. I just received a custom cue with a 13mm shaft and honestly, get more action on the cue ball with that than my other shafts...

Burton Spain's First attempt at a fullsplice

What is the title of the book? I am interested in finding it or at least reading it. I am guessing that it is out of print. I will try and find it on the net. I am sure it is a very good read. (edit: just realized the age of the original post... maybe I'll get a reply :) ) Thanks, Jeremy

UNDO- The Blue Pool Cue Shaft Cleaner

sounds similar This product sounds simialr to another powdered product I used to use... it came in a small white bottle with black and white label. I recall having to do several "scrubbing " type applications when the cue was really blue. The rag ended up paste-like with a a greyish/blue color...

    Beware Jeff Forney!!!!!

Never doubted you... just sounded harsh I did that and returned here immediately. It is a shame that this guy is still getting away with this. I would suggest contacting the Better Business Bureau (spelling??) and starting a complaint on this guy's company. The alerts seem to be going on all...

    Beware Jeff Forney!!!!!

Glad you're not mad at me...OUCH! I'm glad you are not mad at me. From an outsider's point of view, it seems a bit harsh to see this without reading or researching what you are speaking of. Your post reminds me of someting a friend once said to me, " you never truly know a woman 'til you have...

    Bob Dzuricky Cues

I figured Titlist as well. I also am planning on a replacement shaft for Bob to do on another cue that someone cut the ferrule off of to do a tip replacement. Lousy shop I used a long while back. It is for an old McDermott D-4 I'm gonna use as a break cue. THanks again for the comments on my...

Nice choices in both your cues Congrats on your cues. What a turnaround going from written off, to phone call/email, to extreme joy. 11 years is a looong time to be on a list. I finally pulled the trigger on my first custom cue I'd been wanting for 15... but only had to wait six months. Wow...

    Bob Dzuricky Cues

Final Review... got my Bob Dzuricky Cue Hello all, I got my cue in the mail today. :D:D:D The sleeved/sealed cue was wrapped up in several layers of bubble wrap inside a stiff tube, inside of another box. Absolutely no chance for shipping damage shy of being run over. The cue looks...

    Interesting cue on Ebay

reminds me of a... Gondola. Gondola cues were sold in the Base exchange overseas when I was In the Azores in the late 80's (Islands off of Portugal) They had a Ramin wood shaft with cheap ferrules with the screw in tips. I had a cue from them that had a similar butt sleeve but the spots were...
