    The way i read it is in part A it says "pocketing" and all the others it is "pocketed". For me it is interpretation to not even having to make the 8.

    Of those i wod get he hxt30. I like the softer hit compared ro the steel joint. I forgot about Schmelke cues. Go to billiard warehouse.com made in wisconsin and they are great quality cues

    you are wrong. scratch on the 8 is a foul/loss of game btw...the way the rule reads how on earth do you think it is a gray area? it is straight forward in what it says.

    best bet would be players cues in the 50.-100. range. valhalla is made "by" viking cues star and lucky by mcdermott cues are a good choice in the sub 50. range. I have two of their cues for people at my house and the quality is better than any walmart or store bought cue. :smile: edit...

    5 balls on a 9 ball break on a 8ft diamond weirdest is I was playing 8 ball with a friend on an 8ft diamond. I broke and placed all solids on one end with the all of the stripes on the other end with the eight and cue ball in the center. :grin:

    apa 9 ball has a different strategy. need to look at the over all point tally instead of individual games. say you need 12 points with a decent layout and an opportunity to combo the 9 early. no point in comboing the 9 when you need points to win. leave it and run out.

    18.5 oz too light for a break cue?

    Not to light at all. I got a used ob break the other day and it was 17oz. Felt nice but bought a weight bokt kit from ozonebilliards for 10.00 to match the weight of my player. Order whatver weight u want and get the kit and experament.
