I would prefer DVD but for godsakes please have it captioned for those of us that are hearing impaired. I haven't seen an instructional DVD yet that was captioned and it drives me nuts LOL.
The entire handle section of the cue would have to be replaced. It may also depend on the construction method of the cue in question. You would get much better info though if the question was posted in the "ask the cuemaker" section here.
I would like to ask him why he gravitated from a shorter bridge/stroke setup that he used back in the 80's to early 90's to the much longer bridge/stroke that he uses now and whether he's ever thought about going back to the shorter stroke.
If the 9 off the 2 is not a sure thing, I would play the 1 ball in the bottom side pocket and set the cueball so that the line takes it between the 2 and 9. The key is the right speed.
I too prefer the preflag light green master chalk. If anyone has some and would like to trade for the preflag blue, let me know. I have lots of the blue that I would trade for green.
This is sad news indeed! I made more than a few visits to the Viking shop in Madison when I used to live in WI. The first "nice" cue I ever owned was a Viking.
