I'll second what Matt B. said above! I also have shafts for my old Runde Schon that are well over 30 years old and they're as good as new!! If you take care of things, they will last a long time! If you abuse them, well, not so long!
I hate to say it but team USA is choking more than they're getting beat up! You can't dog a 9 or miss with only 2 or 3 balls left on the table and expect to win! And what's with all the banking instead of cutting? I've seen way too many banks attempted off the long rail to the back corner...
The proper way to tighten pockets is to have the subrails extended. Mark Gregory would be the man to contact for this work and he is located in GA so not far from you. He posts here under PerfectPocketz and I think he has a website by that same name. Do a search on here for Mark Gregory and...
Troy,
You have a very serious condition that needs to be eradicated as soon as possible! The first step in the eradication process is to send me the first cue from the left!

PS: That is an awesome collection of R14's!!!
A real beauty!! I see you've had cues from both Eric Crisp of Sugartree and Wes Hunter of Hunter Classics. How would you compare the two with regard to hit and playability etc.? I know Wes has been somewhat of a mentor to Eric and they share shaftwood. Have yet to get my hands on one of...
These two are beauties!! For the past few years now I've been playing with one of Wes' 5 pointers. Awesome playing cues and outstanding workmanship!! Wish my 5 pointer had a hickory burl handle!!
I remember Greg Fix well. Excellent straight pool player!! Saw him play in LaCrosse and Madison a few times. What is he doing these days besides the obvious playing pool? I know he used to be a computer programmer at IBM and resigned from that job to play the pro tour but that was way back...
This is very sad news! I was fortunate to own one of his cues and it was hands down the most well balanced cue I've ever had in my hands! Oh how I wish I hadn't sold it! R.I.P. Mr. Scruggs! My condolences to his family and close friends!
Randy
Two players on my team both play with DP cues. Both are very nice looking cues and play just fine. I've been to Dale's shop many times and seen a lot of very nice cues in all stages of production. For the money, you can't beat a DP cue.
