Will a low deflection shaft help me?

Even after playing this freakin game for 40 years, switching to a LD shaft has helped my game. Like many others, I don't like the hollow feeling of the hit, but winning eases the pain. I also don't like the look of laminated shafts when down on a shot. The alternating grain gives a striped...

Best quality case without the bling?

JB, The small leather lid hinge looks like a weak link. What am I missing with that critical moving part? After all, if the hinge fails, all the protection is gone. I'm sure you have thought of everything, and I'm missing something here, but that design detail makes me nervous. Thanks Courtney

    Flaws

A month or so before he left us Mike Cochran showed me a nice ebony front cue that had a big ol' crack right below the joint pin. It was almost ready for finish when it happened. He said you just never know what wood is going to do. STILL miss him.

How trust worthy is your Cue-maker!!

If you know of any cuemakers who subscribe to this notion, please let us know who they may be, so we can avoid them. Bob Frey is my cuemaker, and I can't think of anyone more trust worthy.

    whats the difference ?

Its easy enough to add handicap to stronger teams based on their overall position, ie the first place team gives up 2 or 3 additional balls per round. The league I played in would vote on this in between each session. Personally, I think the better teams should win most of the time. Handicap...

    Tip shaper

Looks like a good application for extrusion. If you can add value by including more functions, people will pay for it, for example, razor blade holder or bottle opener.

    Does the butt affect deflection?

Weapon of mass distraction. I think a different (cue) butt will have negligible effect on cue ball squirt.
