Progress photos on my new Chris Nitti Merry Widow with fancy rings

Great effect...more with less. Those rings are the star. I like Chris' work very much. Congratulations.

    Bob Manzino "Gatsby"

It is great to see ambitious design concepts paired with masters who are up to the task. Thanks Paul for sharing this one. I especially appreciate the background and images to place the design elements into an understandable perspective. The cue becomes far more than a harmony of inlays and...

    Pete Tonkin 15th Anniversary Cue

    Congratulations Ken.

    Madison Bob Value

There is no right or wrong price for a cue that cannot be replaced. Madison Bob was a great character and joy to know...some will pay a premium just to have one of his cues given that fact. Like Fast Eddy said...you go into a shoe store with $350 you come out with one shoe. If the cue is...

    Joe Callaluca Cue For Sale

I've owned several of Joe's cues...nothing but good things to say about each. Superb feel and very well constructed. Impossible to find a better value for under 1K. "Joe knows"

    Couple of Josey Cues

Couldn't agree more. Great cues, great people.

    Meucci Original's

What he said. Love that rosewood LH I had the Strickland cue for a time and sold it. That frog theme is ultra rare. Mike Xaros told me he toured Meucci with Earl and Efren. Bob had three cues put together while they walked through the shop as Mike X tells the story. They were gifted to the...

    Ash Shafts

Bought one of Eric's ash blanks already made into a shaft...fantastic. Would recommend highly

cue collectors and buyers are their own worse enemy.

We've seen threads like this before. Some well and some not so well articulated points about the plight of the player/collector who places his hopes and sometimes cash in a cue builder's hands only to be disappointed after a longer than expected wait. Many of us have been there and have some...

    JAM's book on Keith

I'm ready to buy a case or two. Keith's story, if told well, is likely the best my generation will experience. I followed him through a few events and wrote down his sayings...the man is one of a kind. If the project is on hold because he plans to return to the tables, I'll bring beer and...

    Bob Manzino Box

Box cues tend to be rare. This one has the added benefit of being a harmonious design. The greens in the veneers and rings mirror the abalone. I would consider it a departure from Bob's more typical contrast designs. Very nice... very uncommon Manzino.

Bad Problem with John Showman, (Cue Stolen)

I've read this thread and like many others, find it very unfortunate. I regard myself as a friend to John Showman and a believer in his work. Showman cues are among the finest the craft has to offer. I have only owned 1 Showman cue which, ironically, I sold to fund a legal defense several...

    Gilbert 2000.....what's it worth?

Back when I could play a little, I'd have simply said "you need to get out more" I'm on my 9th Gilbert now and they have all hit well...and all been very beautiful, just as the PH cue in the OP's picture. I collect box cues and sell cues at the various shows when I can...I have owned hundreds...

    Kirsenbrock HOF Dinner Invitations

For those who could not be there, the ACA Hall of Fame induction dinner was at the Superbilliards Expo. This year's honors went to Dave Kirsenbrock. It was a fine meal and enjoyable atmosphere as David's mark on cue building was discussed and celibrated. Several of his cues were displayed...

    2015 SBE Cue Photo's

Congratulations on some very classy pickups at the show. Pics don't do the Dunkel justice...that is a gorgeous cue with great balance. Steve has emerged as a builder to watch. He really has some fresh ideas.

    What's your Pool Nickname?

Drawman is another casualty to the seduction of backspin. Jimmy Varnish once commented that I've got a donut stroke...after the set there is nothing left in my pockets but coffee and donut money.
