Thank you for all the great BD wishes I got from so many of my friends, students and fellow instructors! We will all celebrate together one of these days. I'm chomping at the bit to get out on the road teaching again! Scott Lee 2019 PBIA Instructor of the Year Director, SPF...

    Drills or games?

Remember Richard, you spent a lot of time (and money) improving your stroke first. That allowed you to play competitively every day! Scott Lee 2019 PBIA Instructor of the Year Director, SPF National Pool School Tour

i lightened up on my stroke by 30%, and im playing better

judochoke...While you may not think your making a mistake talking that way, you are. That is sexist. Men and women are on equal terms when it comes to pool. Weight of the cue and timing are the key factors...NOT how big and strong you are. Talk like a man, or get lost from this forum. I...

Why Isnt There Any Activity Here?

You'll have a great time Leigh! Jerry is top shelf! BTW, take your cue with you. Jerry will show you that it doesn't matter so much where the balance point is, and you don't need to change anything from what I showed you. Scott Lee 2019 PBIA Instructor of the Year Director, SPF...

    Reputable Collectible Cue Dealer Recommendations?

Chris...You could also try Joe Salazar or Cornerstone Cues out of Detroit. They both buy and sell collectible cues. There's also Will Prout (ibuycues here on Azb) out of Kansas City, and Rick Goulden out of Des Moines IA, both have big collections. Scott Lee 2019 PBIA Instructor of the Year...

    What happened to Meucci cues?

Ken_4fun...Before you start calling names, I would have thought that you were more intelligent. Cue companies, except in VERY rare circumstances (SVB, Allison Fisher, Earl Strickland) do not pay players, and the pros are not paid to use a cuemaker's cue. They may pay some entry fees; possibly...

Is breathing a specific way important or overkill?

Jim...The pros, for the most part, have no idea what they do. #1...NEVER EVER hold your breath to shoot. We do teach deep breathing to settle yourself. What you described is probably a good way to go! Scott Lee 2019 PBIA Instructor of the Year Director, SPF National Pool School Tour

Ask Yourself - Still getting better?

No fair PJ...you have a whole room of pool tables to play on! I just hit balls one week ago for the first time in 3 months! Thankfully I am now back at work for anyone who needs help! Scott Lee 2019 PBIA Instructor of the Year Director, SPF National Pool School Tour

Twilight Zone - A game of pool

In the 1985 remake neither Fats nor Jesse could play dead in a western, as a pool player. They both had the worst bridges and strokes I've ever seen! At least Klugman and Winters LOOKED like poolplayers. Scott Lee 2019 PBIA Instructor of the Year Director, SPF National Pool School Tour

    Bert kinister 60 min workout-TINMAN

JoeyInCali...Well my friend, elbow drop is not necessary to shoot the replacement shot...just like elbow drop is not required for any other shot. It's all about hitting your natural finish point on every SOP shot...or about 90% of everything we shoot in a game. Scott Lee 2019 PBIA...

How to fix a table that plays long

Kracken...Why don't you just learn how to adjust your aim and your stroke? That's 100x easier and more permanent than trying to "fix" the rails. Scott Lee 2019 PBIA Instructor of the Year Director, SPF National Pool School Tour

    New pool movie

So, for YOU it's thumbs down for The Hustler and TCOM as well, huh? It's a movie dumbass, with legit actors and a reasonable story line, with pool in the background. Scott Lee 2019 PBIA Instructor of the Year Director, SPF National Pool School Tour

    New pool movie

Thanks to Joey A for mentioning all the places to see Walkaway Joe. I watched it last night, and enjoyed it. Joey A was center stage in almost all of the pool scenes in the NOLA tournament. They apparently did keep in the scene where Dallas makes the 9 and wins the tournament, and the crowd...
